Basically, this is almost an hour of Chuck explaining what happened to the "lost episodes" of Doctor Who - why they were lost, how they were recovered and such.
If you've got the spare time, it's a good watch whether you already know that story or not - but if you don't and are a Doctor Who fan, it's almost a must-watch IMO.

Re: SFDebris: Doctor Who - Lost in Time (Lost Episodes)
It was a very interesting watch. I vaguely knew that a lot of episodes had been lost (because of that ridiculous Mugabe thing, strangely enough) but it was cool getting all the details filled in.
Speaking of lost episodes, Chuck's six part series on the Hartnell years has been posted over the last few days, although I only saw it just now. I've never seen any of these episodes myself, but I tend to like reviews of things that I haven't seen, for some reason. It's the same way with, say, Chuck's reviews of Voyager episodes I have no intention of watching. This may make me some sort of terrible person in certain circles, but I couldn't care less.

I'll readily admit that i have only seen a few episodes of Voyager, and not much more from any other Trek-series, and that i am still toroughly enjoying Chucks reviews.Mayabird wrote:It was a very interesting watch. Given how much that has been lost and as fragmented as those old episodes are, it's interesting to hear the holes filled a bit. It was too bad Sarah Kingdom didn't stay for long because they sure didn't need a screamer.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

While the actual content of the overview videos and the reviews of the lost episodes interest me only marginally (though I am watching them), I am very impressed at the actual effort this must have taken. It really shows that Chuck means business.

Yeah, the first two in his series are must sees for anyone who is interested in how television works at all. Those were really well done, even if you don't explore the actual missing episodes.
