Data Question

Post by 2000AD »

Was Data created by Khan?
IIRC Khan's full name was Khan Noonian Song.
Data's creator was named Song and IIRC in one episode he was referred to as Noonian Song.

Startrek.com lists it as Noonien Soong. Though the Khan part does seem familiar for some reason.

Data was built by Noonien Soong.

The Khan of TOS episode "Space Seed" and TWoK was Khan Noonien Singh.

The similar names are intentional. During WWII Gene Roddenberry had a friend named Kim Noonien Singh. After the war Kim disappeared, and Gene used his name for the characters in the show in the hope that Kim would contact him.

Even if they did have the same name, that does not make it the same person, look in the phone book, how many John Smiths are there?

How can you compare a name like John Smith with Khan Noonien Singh?

Anyways, Khan was dead long before TNG anyways, right? Oh wait  , he was resurrected on the Genesis planet :!: With B&B, you would NOT be surprised. :x

anyway Data's creator does not look like Kahn either!

Data was made in the image of his creator which indicates that soong was too young to be Kahn anyway!

Oh good grief, Khan was friggin dead before was even Soonien born. So, how could Khan have made Lore, B-4, Data and the other droids he apparently created, if he was killed in the Genesis explosion?

If they do that, then there will be so much crappy Trek out there that the universe will reach critical crappiness and implode.
