Alien hoax?

Post by Justforfun000 »

Someone just posted this on Facebook. Thoughts?

You have to realize that most Christian "moral values" behaviour is not really about "protecting" anyone; it's about their desire to send a continual stream of messages of condemnation towards people whose existence offends them. - Darth Wong alias Mike Wong

First off, Russia is legendary for fake news stories. Second, that thing looks more or less like a stereotypical gray, and looks like it's made of some kind of clay or wax. So yeah, fake.

I thought this is about that alien crash report that the FBI put on their website, proving (well, more or less) that the report wasn't a hoax... Turns out this is something else. Duh.

Of course the "alien" is completely naked :D

Funny, isn't it? Aliens can fly between stars, yet don't wear clothing while piloting their spacecraft - which seem to crash all the time, too. They should really have ejection seats.

Either way, it's not vetted by a respectable news source, it's supposedly a "leak" (implication: stolen from the government) yet there's only like two guys casually walking about the site. Add Russia's history of hoax videos like that, and yeah, it's incredibly unlikely the thing is real.

A-ha! It wasn't followed further! This obviously means the government knew all about it and the FBI was ordered to drop the case or risk discovering THE TRUTH. That is OUT THERE. [/conspiracy theorist]

Observation: apparently, advanced alien control mechanisms make their saucers crash when exposed to powerful radar waves.

Earth is secure.

That was only before SP2...
A minute's thought suggests that the very idea of this is stupid. A more detailed examination raises the possibility that it might be an answer to the question "how could the Germans win the war after the US gets involved?" - Captain Seafort, in a thread proposing a 1942 'D-Day' in Quiberon Bay

The galaxy is being conned by ship dealers. Ships have a terrible safety record, think of the dozens of crashed ships, just on this planet!

I always found mindboggling that point. I mean, if you don't suffer a failure while landing, you don't end up on a planet's surface, and landing is a tiny part of the trip. If they had decent engineers they would have figured out the issue centuries ago.

Actually landing and launch is the most dangerous part, especially in atmosphere.

Hence my comment about ejection seats and pressure suits. But these sound so primitive and un-alien, because it's something we can recognize and use regularly and is not a tablet covered in weird symbols.

That's the same reason why you'll never see a screwdriver being presented on an alien hoax video: because in some people's mind, anything at all that's recognizable invalidates the idea that it's alien.

Despite the fact that even in the year 28 000, our post-spelling robotic bodies will still occasionally use shovels, hammers and other tools invented millenia ago.

You would expect some sort of anatomical structures to be coming out of the chopped off leg too. Bone, vessels, musculature. Something.

And burns, of course. If the body was ejected from the crashing ship by the explosion, it should be severely burned all over (especially since it's apparently naked).

Alternatively, if it limped to that place and lost the leg to wild animals, it would've been torn and in tatters, not cleanly cut off.

Etc. etc. etc.

And of course there's like two guys there, around the biggest discovery ever :D
