World of Warcraft: Rise of the Zandalari

Post by CaptainChewbacca »

Starting this thread for the first new 'big' content patch since Cataclysm. The trailer looks pretty awesome, with Vol'Jin refusing to ally the Darkspears with the resurgent Troll Empire. I've seen previews of the new troll instances, they look pretty awesome.

I'm also going to enjoy the changes to archaeology, because I'm tired of grinding in schools I already have all the rares for.

BTW, last night on my server was hilarious, with jewelcrafters trying to liquidate their inventories before ore and gem prices got reset and tanked the markets. New maelstrom crystals should help that market as well.

Ghaah, I'm glad I quit again a while back. Fucking trolls. Nobody cares! *curmudgeon*

Seriously, I hate troll instances, troll storyarcs, troll architecture, troll bosses...can't stand any of it. Easily the least interesting part of Warcraft lore to me.

Frankly, it's the other changes I'm looking forward to. Screw this one-heroic-a-day crap. 7 on my weekends, only log in during the week for random stuff. Guild Challenges look good.

Yeah I prefer the heroic change as well - no need to log in everyday, I can just log my alt on a saturday and grind out 7 instances quickly. Should make gearing out my alts a bit faster.
As for the content, i'm not all that excited. It's recycled (again) and the 2 instances were good at one time, but it just feels as if Blizzard needed a content patch between now and Firelands and decided that they were too busy to really think of something new.
“The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that the English language is as pure as a crib-house whore. It not only borrows words from other languages; it has on occasion chased other languages down dark alley-ways, clubbed them unconscious and rifled their pockets for new vocabulary. “
