Obama @ White House Correspondents' Dinner

Pretty funny.

Watching Trump sitting there like a sook is icing on the cake. Seth Meyers was also pretty funny.

Obama's bit wasn't that funny, Seth's was though. Although, the joke about Biggie and Tupac was hilarious.

Here's Seth's bit:

Everything from the opening video (You have Hulk Hogan's old wrestling entrance theme, along with a montage of all american clips including Optimus Prime, and a Nuclear Sub on a Flag background), to the jokes he put out, were pretty good. He has a good sense of humor at least - doesn't excuse the faults he has had in his presidency, but still, he gave a good poke at both FOX News and Trump there, and it was enjoyable.

Basically, Trump was set up to get the red-ass in public. Now if he persists in his birther/collegegate bullshit, he not only makes himself look the racist buffoon but also a petty little shit who's throwing a tantrum because he can't take a few jokes. The Donald got the ground cut from under his feet and he's really got nothing else on which to base a presidential campaign on. I think he's going to just fade from the 2012 race or wind up humiliating himself worse than what he got at the dinner.

Time for him to look for some other media promotional mechanism.

I actually felt sorry for Trump. God they were so harsh.

But then again, he had it coming.

It's good to see how much they strakked that fatty.

:D

EDIT:

But Obama's SRS BSNSS last message about journalists and truthiness was really hypocritical, since he's doing the same kind of shit to Manning (torture, imprisonment) he says the journalists have to endure.

Obama retains the ability to at least chuckle when someone makes a joke at his expense. He understands that, being a political figure, he's going to get roasted and his mistakes will be mocked.

Trump, on the other hand, just gets more and more pissed off. You can't play in US politics if you're that thin-skinned because the comedians and political commentators and political cartoonists feel anyone is fair game and make their living off joking about/mocking even the popular and successful, much less anyone else.

In the corporate world Trump can simply fire anyone who makes fun of him, or who disagrees with him, or whom he simply doesn't like. It doesn't work like that in government. For that reason (among others) I don't see Trump as suitable presidential material.

Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. Its kind of odd that Trump wasn't more loose, considering he was recently roasted on Commedy Central. This obviously was much more than that. Perhaps its because he expected to get roasted and was prepared, but Obama has basically made him look like a fool over this bither non sense.

Well, he was pretty loose at the start, even chuckling along a bit. Then Seth Meyers came...and he was less cheerful.

I liked his dig at Matt Damon.
"I've even let down my key core constituency: movie stars. Just the other day, Matt Damon -- I love Matt Damon, love the guy -- Matt Damon said he was disappointed in my performance," Obama told the crowd. His retort: "Well, Matt, I just saw The Adjustment Bureau, so...right back atcha, buddy."

I like the gradual evolution over the years of how you used Stark's name, culminating in a verb form, meaning mockery.

I liked Matt Damon's performance in The Adjustment Bureau. :(

Obama played it hella cool when Seth made that Osama joke. I can't just see him laughing at the joke now, he's laughing at what he knows. You can almost see it in his eyes.

Well, he knows he ordered the hit, but let's not fool ourselves. The operation was risky as hell, and he was staking his presidency on it. He did play it cool, but probably wasn't laughing yet about getting him.

Honestly, people often talk about how detached and cool he is as if it's a bad thing (noted in his part of the speech). Everything that has now come to light from the Osama mission supports why this is a good thing. The man has a killer poker face.
It's Jodan, not Jordan. If you can't quote it right, I will mock you.

I don't get the impression he was laughing at the "getting him" part, but just that bit of situational irony where he knows more than the audience.
