Project SCUM: Proof Big Tobacco Wants Gays and Homeless Dead

Post by Einhander Sn0m4n »

* http://www.projectscum.org/

Project Sub Culture Urban Marketing (SCUM) is Big-Tobacco's codename for marketing their death sticks to gays and homeless people, two already much-maligned groups. The naming of this project suggests how the Big Tobacco Bigots view these groups. As we all know, cigarettes are lethal, and they've been proven the hardest addiction in the world to get rid of. Put two and two together, and we can see what the tobacco korporations want (besides our money).

I love that weed is less addictive than cigarettes...it could use filters, though.

Hamburgers are more addictive than weed. And filtered joints suck!

Statistically speaking, weed does addict about 20 percent of the using population. These are the poeple that have to get help in order to quit using, and they smoke daily.

But, you're right, it's no comparison with cigs.

You poor, deluded tool of the vast right wing conspiracy. Lawyers and unions CAN'T be big, because they care about the Little Guy, while the big mean old tobacco and oil companies only care about making a profit.

Project SCUM: Proof Big Tobacco Wants Gays and Homeless Dead
Leap in logic; besides, they can't sell you their products if you're dead. Duh.

Cigarettes, hardest addiction to get rid of? I'll believe it when I see people going to rehab clinics for cigarette addiction. There are millions of ex-smokers out there who've kicked the habit without going through anything nearly as horrible as drug rehabilitation.

What else do the "korporations" want besides your money? I can't help but wonder whether people honestly believe that "big tobacco" is conspiring secretly to kill us all with their eeeeeevil cigarettes. [/quote]

The tobacco industry is the only legal industry in the world that kills off its customers. :)

Einhander: I'm sure they want hetero's money just as much as they want homo's money. In the past when they marketed more to hetero's with their "sophisticated, sexy and independent" ad campaigns, were they saying they wanted hetero's to die? Since homosexuality is becomming more acceptable to society than in the past, they simply see a new market opening up. They may make some bigoted generalizations in those ads, but its not a death omen.

Killing people with cigarettes is just acceptable loses because the companies already made so much money off of the person.

I'm sure if they developed a cigarette that wasn't lethal and was the same in every other way, and they could implement it without any costs, they would do so.

Big Labour is often used to describe anything pro-labour (union, what have you)
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

No one in the Fed or state gov wants people to quit smoking for 2 main reasons.
1. Huge Tax revenue: a whole lot of money
2. Less strain on SS: you die faster when you smoke..

You know what it can also be used to describe? Actual Big Labour.

BTW, Hameru, any possibility your old board alias was "^^"?

Hey, when it comes to smoking, I'm one of the loudest on the board against it. HOWEVER, the companies that produce the crap should still have some of the blame, especially if they try and make it look harmless (which they have).

The cigarettes don't need to have the extra nicotine, however. That does make it harder to quit, but still nowhere near as hard as most drugs.

Dale, you're overreacting. Theyre targetting genx/rebels too, does that mean they want them dead?

Dead smokers are not customers. They want EVERYONE to die, just not until they spend atleast 45,000 dollars over the course of 25 years to feed the addiction.
