Are Palestinians freely allowed to live in Israeli settlements? No, they are not. They cannot use any of the lands seized by the Israeli government. They have been expelled from the areas taken by and for the settlements. Promoting the settlements (not that you are doing so, mind) is promoting a slow ethnic cleansing of the West Bank, or at least of those territories that Israel wants. In addition, legalistic quibbling about how it isn't really ethnic cleansing until the entire West Bank is majority Israeli violates the spirit of the term- majority and minority are generally used to refer to the holders of power anyhow within modern discourse.

Not to mention that you apparently don't understand how the word "or" works based on your post, but I am feeling fairly charitable.

This map (linked for size) shows both settlements (dark pink) and areas where Palestinian access is banned or severely restricted. All of the colored-in areas are areas of the West Bank that Palestinians have been expelled from.

Israeli assurances of anything related to peace are meaningless. The settlement building continues unabated and the number of settlers has increased from 120k in 1991 to nearly 500k now, nearly half of which has been in the past 10 years.

In that situation, there is no use accepting any other starting point than significant concessions by Israel compared to the current state of affairs. Which is never going to happen with Netanyahoo and Avigdor Lebensraum in charge of Israel.

Israeli Jews are not a dominant majority in the West Bank. They are less than 10% of the total population.

You arbitrarily assume that ethnic cleansing can only ascribed to the West Bank as a whole rather than parts of it.

Palestinians are being forced out large parts of the West Bank, and these areas become homogeneously Jewish. That is fact and that is ethnic cleansing.

By your logic, if a foreign power swept into Jerusalem and kicked out all the Jews, it wouldn't be ethnic cleansing as Israel as a whole would still be majority Jewish.
