Picked up Leader-class Sentinel Prime today. At a $30 discount ($69.99 reduces from $99.99, though you could get it for $89.99 from Target) from Toys R Us, was hard to restrain myself.

And now I have Shockwave and Skyahmmer :)

Leader-class Ironhide was there, but there was no indication the $30 discount applied anymore, and I couldn't be bothered taking the box to the register to ask.

I grabbed Sentinel after Anguirus' recommendation. I can't say he's my favorite Leader figure (that goes to RotF Optimus with Starscream a close second), but he was worth the buy.

Haven't seen any Leader Ironhide yet. He's a possibility - I hear the Leader version is significantly better than any of the others so far. But I tend to strongly favor Decepticons - Ironhide isn't exactly my favorite character (though I saw a custom where he was given a G1 paint job and a new G1 head, and I liked that version a lot better). For some reason Hasbro isn't giving the bad guys any Leader love so far - hopefully that will change.

If not, well, at least I can save some TF cash in favor of the MP-01b that I've been wanting for the last year or so. Evil Optimus = win. And I need an MP Optimus of some sort to go with my Masterpiece Megatron.

The reason the bad guys aren't getting Leader love this time is that apparently the bad guys don't sell as well. Sucks ass.

You found Leader-class Ironhide on a shelf? That's actually a first AFAIK.

Those three are on my shelf right now: Starscream is my favorite, Sentinel and Optimus are about tied. They are a very similar style!

I also had RotF Megatron but I sold his ass for being lame.

It is a shame, but I will be really surprised if we don't hear about a Leader Megatron in the pipeline soon. BotCon is imminent. And if not very soon, he'll at least fill the interregnum spot that Leader Starscream filled last time.

It's likely he'll be more film-accurate than the Voyager. The film model of Megatron has a massive "shotgun" that he lashes to his back with chains. :D

This is the guy they want to use to win over "young people?" Are they completely daft? I'd rather vote for a pile of shit than a Jesus freak social regressive.
Here's hoping that his political career goes down in flames and, hopefully, a hilarious gay sex scandal.

I've heard that as well. But I would respond by pointing out that perhaps if they were to release more Leader Decepticons that don't suck, they might see better sales. Leader Starscream was amazing. Leader Megatron, both versions, were abhorrent. RotF Voyager Megs was better than his Leader mold! That on top of the fact that the general design of RotF Megs was godawful to begin with (the proportions of his legs and arms were horrible, especially that spindly little left "arm").

Give us more like Leader Brawl and Leader Starscream and people will buy them. Give us more like Leader Megatron and you'll just produce a bunch of shelf warmers.

Granted, they're probably including the other sizes and non-movie lines as well.

I think I'll go buy a WST Shockwave to make myself feel better about it.

Heh, now that Leader-class Ironhide on a shelf is a first, I'm worried I'll miss out if I don't get him immediately. :)

Yeah, I grabbed RotF Leader-class Megatron (I have 2007 Leader-class Megatron too, which just looks primitive now, in stark contrast to 2007 Leader-class Brawl) purely because I'm a completionist, and its really not terribly good when I look at it.

Maybe they'll do Leader-class DOTM Megatron and finally get it right. Its a great CG model, IMO. And Voyager-class looks awesome.
