Eh, I at least kept my ships all within the allowed size range.
School requires more work than I remember it taking...

Ah, but the sensible thing to do in the case of exceeding the size range is to limit the force in other ways. In my example, I bid a 4-kilometer long lighthugger from the Revelation Space 'verse, but only bid one ship in total.Norade wrote:Eh, I at least kept my ships all within the allowed size range
Effectively, should the ship take too much damage, or be destroyed, I will have to break off the attack. OTOH, the graser PD and the ability to destroy a target from lighthours away with hypometric weaponry makes for a huge difference.

Yeah, I was kidding around. I guess I'll need to think of another sci-fi universe that fits the bill. The Lensman universe would handle the problem with ease, but I'd like to find a decent challenge that hasn't already been brought up.Whiskey144 wrote:Ah, but the sensible thing to do in the case of exceeding the size range is to limit the force in other ways.
