It depends on my mood at the time, Enricko. Most of the time I have hope for mankind, but sometimes I find myself seriously contemplating whether or not I'd press the horrible doomsday button and kill off all the fucking pigs who disquise themselves as humanity. It would be so beautifully deserving...

Cthulhu-chan: how would they know I was the one who did it? The "bomb" I speak of may just be some kind of canister hissing out virii. Maybe thier dead souls would thank me for freeing them.

The problem with ex-Christians is that they often cast about aimlessly in search for some kind of drop-in replacement and become severely depressed if they can't find one.

My suggestion is to start looking for ways to find a sense of fulfillment and self-worth that don't rely upon the egotistical notion that you are so damned important that you will live forever and be specially loved by forces as grand as those which shape the vastness of the universe.

Read what Kaz, Dalton, Enricko, and DW said again and again; their words are very wise.

And yeah, life can suck big donkey dicks -- trust me, I know -- but in my darkest hours, I always come back to the same conclusion: life is better than the alternative.

Too, regardless of matters of faith, happiness and contentment are prizes, not gifts. In other less concise words, whether or not God is your co-pilot, whether or not you spell truth with a big T or little t, the good life is hard work.

One last thought: beauty exists in the same reality in which we submit ourselves to pain and anguish.

Yes, you're just a lump of interesting organic chemistry going on in a water catalyst. And, you happen to have developed because entropy tends to a maximum and life is much more efficient at turning useful energy into waste heat than anything else.

Yet, while you're fulfilling your ultimate purpose in contributing to the heat-death of the universe, it is important not to linger too long on that thought. It's the truth, you can't do anything about it. Move on, there are many things to contend with in life without worrying about the foundation it's built on.
