Do some people take things to seriously?

Post by David »

First of all, observe the happy lil monkey in my avatar area.

I'm one of those people who tries to look at the good side of everything, and I also assume the best about everyone ( well at least at first.) So tell me, is it just a reflection of my own view point, or do some people take posting here way to seriously. I'll laugh off most stuff and then have people tell me a person is trolling for their posts. Even most stuff I disagree with I let go as being to stupid to ven respond to, and others jump up like the posts were specifically targeted at them.

Of course, you are talking to the guy that started the BotM.:P :D

I usually start fairly on the good side, but that usually turns bad pretty fast.

Well I've said it before and I'll say it again, the sole reason you people exist is for my amusement. You cease to be amusing, then your a troll in my book ( or you cease to exist, I forget which one  .)

I rarely take anything seriously.

...I tend to get in trouble from time to time. But fuck it, life's short, I like to laugh.

I've always been a real piss ant and highly confrontational. I'm a lot better at just holding it back in real life, but there's something about coming online and not wanting to see shit. I don't know.

The rabid American nationalists around here take things way too seriously.

This is not, however, something that a liquid sodium enema wouldn't fix.

Man, I swear, this is a prime example of why I take things to seriously. Some asshat talking shit, then asking 'Why are you so pissed? What did I do? Don't take things so seriously?' Guess what, fucktards like HIM make me fucking pissed the hell off. So I expect to see part of this HOSd in the immediate future.

I find that I, while I take note of what people say and respond to it with a sort of an 'eye for an eye' mentality, I only start formulating an solid opinion once they've established a consistent behavior or personality for awhile. I don't see first impressions as important enough to skew how I perceive them for very long.

And yet despite this, I get people online (and real life ones, rarely but they fit the bill more so sometimes) who take 5 minutes to declare me to be some rabid asshole, and apply attributes to me from out of nowhere (or ones that they themself fit better. I see this more often in RL, but that might be because it's easier to see what kind of person they are), and in general get bent out of shape if I even say something like "Um, you misquoted me. I said 'next year', not 'next week'". Damn, it's not like I hang out in places that practically say "Warning: troglodytes ahead. Rabid attempts to duel my ensue" so I can get first-warning that I'm going to play a recluctant part in "Dumbass Duelists versus the Dragon". Some people really need to learn to not bark up the wrong tree if they want to project hteir own issues onto others.

Heh, can anybody point out the last time I took anything seriously (and if you can, don't present it here asshole! :) )? Nope, cause I don't. Life is too serious already with these politically correct jack offs skipping around critisizing every "indecent" thing you do as it is, why bother taking your online life seriously. I sure as heck don't.
