What happens when a chaos space marine or another tainted individual dies ? Do they become part of the Warp or something ? Is the result diffferent if they die inside the warp instead of the material plane ? What about natives of the warp like the daemons ?

Depends considerably on who they are and how they've been affected by their exposure to the Warp, as well as what they're hit with (as certain weapons - force weapons most notably - have soul-destroying properties). Certain souls - like Kharn's, or Lucius the Eternal's, or the Thousand Sons' Rubricae Marines - are able to maintain themselves as coherent after death, but most are either dissipated or munched on, as normal.

What about natives of the warp like the daemons ?

Again, depends heavily on the daemon and what they're hit with.

They are toyed with in various painful ways by whatever dark gods they parleyed their souls to, then consumed. If they are favoured by one of the big boys, they could get brought back to life, most likely as a hideous abomination against all that is right.

Slaanesh mind rapes them till the end of time, or till the necrons win, which ever comes first. but realisticly there either a) there spirits is used to fuel evil boom weapon/become a deamon. b) plane eaten by there patron Chaos God.

That seems odd. One would think being able to overcome death would be a prime reason for turning to chaos. Chaos frequently uses it's followers as a meatshield so if they are doomed to oblivion why would anyone join ?

I hear powerful Daemons manifesting in the physical universe can only be banished with sufficiently strong conventional weaponry but not killed. Is this correct?

Because if you do manage to do well you are immortal to an extent - see Eliphas the Inheritor. He's been killed 2-3 times now and is brought back each time.
If I join Chaos and manage to impress, I'll work my way up getting all the perks on the way, plus their gear is cooler and pointier.


I imagine you also get people that fall to chaos unwittingly then find the choice is to join chaos properly or "BURN THE HERETIC!".

According to the current Chaos Space Marine codex, "When followers of Chaos die, their souls in the Warp do not fade and disappear like the spirits of others. Instead their immortal energy, their souls, are swallowed into the greatness of their gods, sustained forever, increasing the eternal power of Chaos." I vaguely remember older fluff that says less poetically that daemons eat your soul.
