Are you joking?...a while back I tried with a 56k and guess what?..I got so lagged out it wasn't funny, it was completely unplayable with lag up in the 800's...even with the latest patches and stuff.

internet gaming really needs a high powered line to get anywhere at all with any kind of speed

C&C: Generals was not created by Westwood, apparently.

The manual says "based on Westwood Studio's Command and Conquer series".

Exactly why the game is so different, it is not Command and Conquer, it is a good RTS with that name, nothing more.

But...but...does that mean they aren't going to make anymore C&Cs? You know, Red Alert and GDI s. Nod. Or are they just going to continue them under the EA license?

AFAIK, there will be no more "true" C&C games. A pity. I would have liked to see C&C:G with Westwood's famous single player campaigns and the new 3D engine.

Westwood is dead. Yuri's Revenge was their last gasp and EA had their own title before Westwood. Westwood started a gaming genre and now their end has come.

This is terrible. Westwood was my favoriate company and I always visited their site. Now this. EA has really ruined things. They ought to have kept Westwood as a division and let them do their own work. As good as C&C Generals is, it could have been so much more.

I wonder how this is going to affect Red Alert 3 (providing its not an Urban Legend)
