Not a nice situation to be in...Events inside the house rapidly went from bad to worse. Suzanne and Kim began channelling the spirit of 'Pipes,' screaming out phrases in the spirit's voice, such as "he's hurting me." Then chaos broke loose and everyone fled the house except for Sarah Greene who was shown searching for Suzanne in the cellar while the sound of howling cats echoed around her.

The entire show from my memory was damn well done, like the article says, if you saw the end credits you'd find it was all a charade done months ago. But, people don't think straight when they're shitting themselves finding the impossible coming true.
It's like the Orson Welles broadcast of The War of the Worlds in the thirties, it was said to be a radio play numerous times, but some people tuned in for a few minutes, heard the US Army getting vaped by giant walking machine and so took up arms.
