Anyway, sorry for the delay in getting this started, the computer I have the games on was having some problems. They have been resolved. So, without further ado...
The early days.
First, I regret to inform you that we need another vote. This will be vote by post, since I'm able to count and it would be... difficult to do it by normal poll. We need to pick two things. First, what nation are we? On the table so far:
1. Ireland. One of many small states. Here's a handy map, same color being same nation.
I propose we use Leinster, that's the yellow harp on green background. For reference: The pointy sheilds are counts, the squarish ones are dukes, the squarish ones with decorative trims are kings. Leinster is the biggest duchy on the island.
2. The Papal State.
On the one hand, expanding our territory would be ridiculously hard unless we can make the HRE, they're the guys north of us, explode. On the other hand, nobody'll invade us. Unless the Mongols or Muslims get through the HRE, anyway... And we have vastly more political power than anyone else our size, for obvious reasons.
3. Belgium was suggested. At the time, it did not exist. Belgium is not an option, as a result.
4. Suggest more small nations from 1066 AD.
Second, we need to pick our backstory. Suggested so far:
1. Nerds getting immortality and time travel from the darkest corners of the internet, somehow, and going back in time to this time to take over the world. Somehow.
2. Leaders of an evil world empire that we will build in Evil Genius someday on the run from the lynch mobs overthrowing them jump through a time machine. And decide to make a new empire.
3. Q did it! For some reason. Anyway, this allows the most insanity in making a character for yourself.
So... vote away. You have a few days or once I think enough votes are in. And yes, you can change your vote later, but not once we actually start.
