Nostradamus is a load of horseshit. A college student back in 1997 successfully produced Nostradamus-esque quatrains that could have actually been applied to real-world events. Go look it up on Snopes.

Or, alternately, since time travel to the past is impossible, information from the future cannot be known, and prophecy is a load of shit. Period. End of story.Tom_Aurum wrote:The physics of prophecy are very... very strange. Ever read Dune? Well, anyways, besides the whole Shreodinger and his cat... that get a little wierd too. But anyways... prophecy. The eventual effect of more than one prophet interacting is both prophets actually destroying each other's timelines with knowledge of the other's. Therefore there is absolutely <no> chance of us getting to know any of his prophecies before they come true... if they come true. The moment we learn of them, they will become false simply because we avert them.

The one with a hoax read something like this "In the city of God there will be a great thunder. Two brothers torn apart by chaos, the third big war starts when the great leader blablablabla" Well it went on something like that.
I don't think at all that Nostradamus predictions are fake or that he wrote just to scare of people. He even mentioned the Spanish dictator by name "Franco".

History is full of prophets who thought they had a gift and turned out to be full of shit. Sheer probability states someone is going to make guesses that vaguely work out at some point or another.Dark Primus wrote:The one with a hoax read something like this "In the city of God there will be a great thunder. I doubt Nostradamus was fake as many others perhaps were. Why he wrote it all in jiberish can be due to several reasons.
He lived in the 16th century. From his point of view, he would have it hard to explain by words describe, rockets, submarines, skyscrapors (man made mountains)
