New Vegas runs in Windows 7 but crashes fairly frequently; the DLC seems to be even worse than the regular game, for me, but others may have different experience.
Thanks for the heads up. I tried it, and there are a few issues I'm noticing;
1. It occasionally freezes on the load screen. Doesn't happen often but its irritating when it does.
2. It refuses to run in a window. As in, it crashes instantly.
3. It rarely crashes randomly (and actually, I think this only started after I added mods to the mix.)

Otherwise, I'm content with it.

From personal experience New Vegas is way stabler than Fallout 3, which had a decent chance of BSODing my rig. At worst, New Vegas decides to keep the cursor (which can usually be fixed by firing up Task Manager and, for some arcane reason, doesn't seem to happen at all if I have Firefox open in the background). It does crash occasionally for me, but not particularly regularly. I haven't kept tabs or anything but call it a crash every 2-3 hours of gaming or thereabouts.
