I ought to find a pic of Hitler or even Stalin and see how an avatar would look with flowers or somesuch surrounding their portrait. Not as subtle a a over-the-top hyperactive gay guy using Hitler's pic, but possibly amusing, nontheless.

That's what I figured as much but I'm not so up on Communist insignia.

As to a comment about swastikas, the closest that ever came was a manji that, well, Manji used, but that was more related to the Hindi symbol than the crap Hitler put out...

I'm sure that most everybody knows this, but just in case, the swastika is a universal symbol that has been used by virtually every culture that has ever existed. It was known as the lucky cross in the U.S. until Hitler came along and fucked it up for everybody.

This may have something to do with my avatar though.
Anyone besides Shep knows what it is? You get a cookie if you do.
KGB shield.

I do find the Nazi avatars a bit odd, although knowing that it is Ein puts a humorous spin on it. Although I wonder what the reaction would be if I put an Ariel Sharon or David ben-Gurion avatar up.
What I find truly odd is Shep sporting Bill Clinton.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around! If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!! Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!
Avatars like that only work as humour if it's VERY clear that you despise whoever it is that you've chosen. If there's a possibility you might have some sympathy for the character, then the avatar will raise a lot of trouble.

I don't know, I was tempted to take a Rommel avatar before Shep nabbed it.
I'm still tempted to take a Khruschev or Bhreznev. Maybe even a Mao.
Why? Because I respect them. I mightn't agree with all their actions, but I still respect them. Is there something wrong with that?
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

No. My AV is of Franz von "baby killer" Hipper, he got that nick in WWI for shelling English coastal villages. I admire him for the way he handled his squadron, not the casualties he caused. I wouldn't be surprised if some idjit comes in here accusing me of having a nazi avatar, though.
I went with my WWII General's Avatars because I respect their generalling skills. I have many from Himmler to Patton at my choosing. I must adnit Jimmler quite nice in old age for such a crazy fuck.

Khruschev or Mao I can understand, but Brezhnev??

"No, actually I would HATE to have a cookie, you vapid waste of inedible flesh!"
I see my avatar had some really nice side effects besides tipping the hat to the reasoning behind Shep's Clinton avatar. It separates the intelligent people with the good sense of humor from the reactionary politically-correct fools who wouldn't know a joke if it tried to sodomize their daddy without lube! ROFL!

AHHHH!! THE GOGGLES! THEY DO NOTHING!
That is just the most disgusting thought in the world, Ein. Thanks for giving me that mental image for the rest of the day.
