Re: Warhammer 50000
I believed the Tyranids were being attracted to the milky way and Terra it self specifically by the Golden Throne...

Re: Warhammer 50000
I dont think thats ever been specifically stated although I've always liked the idea that the hive mind has no idea that its 'body' is devistating worlds but can recognise the Emperor as a similar being and its just coming to say 'Hi'.Lord Baal wrote:I believed the Tyranids were being attracted to the milky way and Terra it self specifically by the Golden Throne...

I sort of recall something saying that somewhere...
But I quite like your idea more! It would be supper hilarious!

Re: Warhammer 50000
I rather like the idea that the nids are just there to say hello to their neighbors and don't realize they're scouring worlds clean of them. It's the sort of dark humor that's missing entirely too much in modern 40k.Bedlam wrote:I dont think thats ever been specifically stated although I've always liked the idea that the hive mind has no idea that its 'body' is devistating worlds but can recognise the Emperor as a similar being and its just coming to say 'Hi'.Lord Baal wrote:I believed the Tyranids were being attracted to the milky way and Terra it self specifically by the Golden Throne...

In the latest 'Nid Codex. Specifically states that the Nids are being attracted to Terra.
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

Warhammer 50 000... or Warhammer Intergalactic?
Q: How are children made in the TNG era Federation?
A: With power couplings. To explain, you shut down the power to the lights, and then, in the darkness, you have the usual TOS era coupling.

mind-blowingly well written.
I too like most have a few disagreements with some of the "X happed to Y" he
decided on. But it is still pretty awesome even with what didn't square with me.
If GW started publishing his version of the even Grimmer & Darker future I'd be
buying it in a heartbeat.

Re: Warhammer 50000
By the way, had anyone thought of a distinct possibility that it is the remnants of the Old Ones who created the Tyranids and is the mysterious 'far worse' thing that is driving the whole species towards the WH40K galaxy to get them to devour the whole place, destroy the C'tan's food source and starve them into defeat? Because that sound like a decent possibility.
Life sucks and is probably meaningless, but that doesn't mean there's no reason to be good.

Re: Warhammer 50000
Are there still implications that the 'Nids are running from something? I thought they were just headed our way because they'd eaten everything else.

Starve them? I thought the C'tan saw sentient life as a delicacy or crack or something, and that stars were their true source of nourishment.SpaceMarine93 wrote:By the way, had anyone thought of a distinct possibility that it is the remnants of the Old Ones who created the Tyranids and is the mysterious 'far worse' thing that is driving the whole species towards the WH40K galaxy to get them to devour the whole place, destroy the C'tan's food source and starve them into defeat?
