That's a possibility...though I tend to think that the wings simply combusted due to sheer overload of hubris.

I am doubtful. There wasn't THAT much chemicals on her, nor did the wings seem chemically reactive (they've been to several equivalents of Equastrian industry, with no reaction).

Regarding, going back to topic:

Come to think of it, once people came to terms with this, there could be some renaissance of economic and industrial activity: e-poinies will need new homes and services, as well as pretty much everything that people normally need. Everything from pony-specific tools (however those would work, even assuming that e-pony hoofs have low-levely telekinesis to allow object use) to e-pony phones, baths, cosmetics, keyboards, toys and god-knows what else.

I think it's worth noting inasmuch as it demonstrates how durable ponies seem to be.

At least the pegasi and unicorns are remarkably robust. Can't recall if Apple Jack or Pinkie Pie have taken the same kind of hits Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle seem to shrug off, though.

Of course, they could be outliers themselves in that regard, as RD is the only one to do Sonic Rainbooms and TS has her inate magic abilities... Have any of the other ponies taken comparable falls/smacks/things bonking them on the head as Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle?

Oh and Fluttershy can canonically beat up a brown bear.
