ive never been confused about my sexuality, its just a fact of nature that dicks only come on guys and certain thai "women". LOL

rob, ill do a cycling animation tomorrow. what kind of wormhole effect would you suggest i try to do??

I haven't a clue, It'your baby afterall, Maybe a colour shift from a blue to a red wormhole during formation and a wider longer backwash surge at the end to signify the sheer amount of power you'd need to get to another Universe/dimension/wherever.

I thought I did. OK to be more specific, When the Backwash/splash occurs it looks like a sort of foam effect, so if you hold it in place at the entrance (seething and bubbling like a pot on the boil - basically the very start of the Backwash sequence held in place) after the 7th chevron, then on the 8th you send pulses of energy through it and have small surges showing the enregy barely being contained and then on the 9th Chevron your Backsplash just erupts out. Instead of the thin Backwash with a large head you have a backwash the wdth of the gate opening that at it's end expands hugely (like a Mushroom cloud on its side). Then when the wormhole forms, it tarts as the usual blue, but changes rapidly to Red (maybe even red tints to the Backwash as well) with maybe energy pulses shooting through it.

There, that should keep you busy for a few months.

Basically imagine at 7 chevrons you get the start of the Backwash effect, but it stays inside the span of the Stargate and looks like a Pot boiling over, a sort of roiling, foming effect, as it obviously want to do the full backwash to form the wormhole but somethings holding it back. On the 8th Chevron there is a huge amount of excess energy so you get energy pulses coursing throughout the Backwash effect (which is still held inside the Gate), and on the 9th you get the mother of all backwashes, it is the width of the gate, extends much further out than normal and has a massive mushroom head at the end, it' pulsing with red shading mixed with the norml blue and white, and when the wormhole forms, it's surface starts blue, but quickly shades to red (from the circumference inwards), thi then stabilises as a deep red, but rather than the smooth surface of a norml wormhole, you can have this one with a constant rippling, and maybe fast flshes of blue rings (again from the circumference, but contracting inwards towards the centre). Maybe have a creeping electricity effect around the Stargates surface, to suggest excess energy even while the wormhole itself is formed.

Nonradiosity cycling sequence is being rendered right now. i estimate it will be done by .. 3 am (it is, afterall, 1250 frames long / ~42 seconds). i also removed the wormhole control device parts because had i rendered with that youd need to wait until midnight tomorrow :p and if i used radiosity you'd need to wait until next wednesday! :p
