Yes, I suppose. The problem, of course, is that at the moment I'm resource poor and having a steady job is a Big Deal.
Going into another week, the boss is not at all in your face about her religion, and there are too many hyper-religious Jeebus-loving old biddies showing up. I may be over concerned (I hope so).

A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. Leonard Nimoy.
Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.- Malcolm Reynolds, Captain of Serenity, which sums up my feelings regarding the lawsuit discussed here.

So, it sounds as if your issue is whether you're overreacting to this ?Broomstick wrote:Yes, I suppose. The problem, of course, is that at the moment I'm resource poor and having a steady job is a Big Deal.

I suspect you are. Boss-lady sounds to me like a relatively nice-dispositioned person, and if she has indeed been living with a lesbian partner for the past few decades (did you say that or am I totally mis-remembering?) she's probably quite used to the idea that people have a right to keep details of their life private from interfering church ladies.Broomstick wrote:Yes, I suppose. So I really doubt, from your description, that she will cause problems. And as long as she doesn't cause problems, and knowing your people-handling skills, I doubt the customers will cause too many problems- even come-to-Jeebus types have to learn the ability to handle day to day life without evangelizing to shop workers, or they'd never get anything done.
I bet you'll be OK.
