I'm just glad that the animals appear to be game for the race.
I'm guessing Dash thought she'd want a partner in her flying rather than what we consider to be a pet, hence the way she's acted.
I was hoping that we'd get a more clear lesson on what pet ownership entails (ie, how will you take care of it, what you'd like contact with, etc) and that one shouldn't get a pet just for fashion, but because you feel personal appeal in having them in your life. Didn't quite go just there though. I actually wanted to slap Dash on the back of the head, saying "that's not how it's done". They're animals after all, you make a connection with them on their own terms, not on yours. They're not fashion accessories.
In Fluttershy's place, I wouldn't make suggestions but show her around and allow those that get her liking to interact with them somehow (feed them, introduce them, play with them, etc). Just let her make a connection with one.
Where in the holy hell does Fluttershy keep a seal?
Tortoises can't be annoying. They're too slow for that.
I had a turtle for a while, it was actually a wild one that got used to me and even allowed me to pet its head.
They're great swimmers though.
Was I the only one that noticed that Tank got sunglasses out as soon as Dash mentioned coolness?
I think they managed to make it work fairly well though. Tank complements Dash's personality fairly well: Dash's element is loyalty and Tank never gives up.
Oh, and looking over Ponibooru, it seems that the creators like to tease us with Derpy. Guess where she is.
