SW vs ST Ship Size Comparison Charts

Post by Lord Poe »

I know there's a lot of websites out there that deal with this, but which one do you all feel is the MOST accurate?

Someone posted a link to a site that had *many* Sci-Fi ships in comparison. Quite a laugh to see how dinky Trek is...

What about the size comparisons that guy with the lightbulb-power TLs had on his site? He said the E-E was 16km long IIRC.

Anyway, I'd say the best charts would have to be the ones that compare the DS with Federation ships. I remember one had the DSII on it, and it was so big, it couldn't fit on the picture and looked more like a hexagon, while all the Federation ships were only a few pixels in length.

Someone at Spacebattles put together a "Starship Silhouette Chart" that I always thought was rather cool.

That was Malsar IIRC and he kinda disapeared about a year ago.

This is the easiest to use, but probably not the most accurate. Great site, though. Run by one Mr. Jeff Russell.

I have version 1.4 of the Starship comp. chart, as well as the chart comparing DS and DS 2, and the chart comparing DS1 to SSD, Drakh Mothership, etc.

You want?

And technowank fan universes. I once knew a guy whose universe routinely had ships with lengths best measured in light seconds.

The original Phallus (Deimos's TGOD wankship) was measured in lightyears, as I recall.

I thought that it just was some hundred kilometres long, not lightyears.

Whoopsie. I seem to be getting confused with Sheppard's Penis Envy, which was 120,000LY long.
