The Pirate Party faction in the Berlin state parliament has adopted "Ponytime" as a form of time-out during their meetings: when tension rises and they get bogged down, they take a 20 minute break to watch an episode of MLP:FiM.

This is pre-WWII. You can sort of tell from the sketch style, from thee way it refers to Japan (Japan in the 1950s was still rebuilding from WWII), the spelling of Tokyo, lots of details. Nothing obvious... except that the upper right hand corner of the page reads "November 1931." --- Simon_Jester

That is hilarious. We need images of these people or something, ASAP.

This is why I started watching the show in the first place: it's popularity is skyrocketing to degrees that it simply does insane things.

This actually makes perfect sense. Watching something like My Little Pony is a good way to take a break to break up a verbal flamewar.

Too bad Ponytime has only been declared two times so far, and some people apparently couldn't stand it.

Its a fun show, but this messianic level of popularity confuses and worries me.

Blasphemy! Princess Luna will soon rule the world!!

We're just having fun with a rich and fairly new series, people will comedown by the middle of season 3.

It's not its popularity that's surprising, it's that what is essentially a children's cartoon show is so popular. Star Wars and Star Trek have bigger more fanatical fanbases and they've been going for ages. Just compare bronies and the MLP fandom to a Trek convention - not such a big deal in that light. Again, it's mainly the fact that it's a kids show that makes its popularity surprising.

Now that I think on it though, if anyone asks me if I'm religious, I'm no longer going to say Jedi. I'm going to say 'Praise Celestia!' instead. We need a proper name for that. Celestian? Celestite?

Good idea, but we shouldn't leave Luna out of that new religion :D

We're gonna need some 'Team Luna' and 'Team Celestia' T-Shirts. Both of which have 'Twilight' on the back

I already use 'BY CELESTIA'S BEARD!' as an exclamation. I sometimes use 'By Luna's Socks' as a quiet curse.

I like the idea of putting bronyism on a census form, but we need a name.

"Principisassae adoratus"? Nah, too obscure. Grammar is probably wrong too.

"Sky-sisters-worship" rolls out but is too long.

"Cycle-cult" sort of sums up the whole day-and-night dynamic but is easily confused with cyclists.

Screw it. Cellunains. We love Celestia and Luna. Crude, but it's easy to say and more handily modifiable.

We call it Celluna.
We call ourselves Cellunai.
I am a Cellunainan.

If we can't come up with a good-sounding acronym, simply calling it "Cult of Luna and Celestia" should do.
That would make us CLS's (as contrasted by the CMC's ;) )

As I'm old enough to remember this: Bronies are very little different from the strong following BTAS garnered when it first came out. The same recipe is there: Strong Storylines, Characters you Care About, and Great Animation.

So, no, Not surprised at all.

I never found the first and last batman animated movies(The mask and catwomen ones) to be good. But the shows were all godlike amazing, never know why some of them were canceled.

I think it would be awesome and hilarious if MLP spawned anything like the DCAU. The Hasbro Animated Universe? Maybe we don't see anything outside of Equestria because the Autobots and Decepticons are busy duking it out. In series 23 Discord possesses Unicron, and Celestia and Optimus Prime team up to take him down.

Actually now that I think about it that would be infinitely terrible. But if this show went on as long as BTAS (and maintains it's current level of quality) I'd be happy.
