I'm a college student untill I meet the credentials for getting into game design. So you could say I'm just an unpublished Game Designer with a bunch of synopses in the works.

But like I've said, don't tell my mother; it'd break her heart to know I'm not set on playing the piano at a whorehouse.

I'm currently a server at a BBQ restaurant, but in rough chronological order, I've been a:

paperboy, dishwasher, pizza cook, college student, researcher and lab assistant, wharehouse grunt, delivery driver, fry cook, telemarketer, waiter, bartender, barista, coffee shop owner, frame and trim carpenter, professional musican, ice cream slinger, plastic fabricator, banquet manager, web designer, part-time payroll accountant, IT helpdesk rep, middle manager for a paramedical company, and painter.

I still haven't decided what I want to do when I grow up :) but I'm planning on going back to school this fall to finish by bachelor's degree.

What a long strange trip it's been.

I work in a museum where I look after the NZ fire service museum {I am very good with brasso and a rag, damn brass and curse chrome}.
I am also the resident computer tech.
I do some research here and there.
I also have the dubious privlidge to sort out the most disorganised, messy spider infested, birdshit filled wharehouse this side of the black stump.

Cheers! I never say no to a cold one. You should try a Kiwi beer like Mac's or Monteiths, they have some nice ones. But when it comes to Guiness, accept no substitutes.

Me full time student (last year yeah!) at RMIT Aerospace Engineering, and casual worker as a projectionist at Village Cinemas.
It isn't unless I'm in a "Hostile Fire Zone." Kosovo and Kuwait come to mind right now. This month, I payed over $475 in Federal taxes, and I lost over $250 to Social Insecurity (plus $60 to Mediscare). On a good note, I pay no state taxes. :)

That isnt too bad. At least not for here. Its pretty damn decent for most other markets. Does not include a housing allowance?
Housing allowance for an O-3E in this area would be an additional $1200 a month, but I live on post, so I don't get BAH. Here's a handy calculator for those who want to know about BAH:

My friends allowance as an E-7 is 2100 a month but only if he is on active duty for more than 120 days. Luckily his employer will continue to pay him while on active duty for at least a little while. The economic impact of activation on some families is very harsh if they dont get the an allowance.
