Empire vs....

Post by septesix »

After defeating the Rebels at the Endor, the Empire come upon a reference to a "Master of the Universe" called Xeelee, along with a somewhat working Xeelee hyperdrive system. In their wake of victory , the emperor has decided to overthrow these self-proclaimed "Masters" and take control of the universe.

Now I ask, what can the Empire do to prepare for such a war, assume they can reverse engineer the secret behind the Xeelee drive.

and what would the Xeelee do to them?

Well, you are assuming that the Empire actually *can* breach the technological gap between their own and Xeelee...I mean, we are talking about the Xeelee that constructed the Great Attractor, also known as Bolder's Ring. It is not that easy to reverse engineer Xeelee tech, even the humans of the Xeelee universe, who at their peak were able to manipulate and physical move stars around were not able to reverse engineer a nightfighter they had captured and held at Callisto.

The construction material of the Xeelee is capable of withstanding a supernova blast and the only thing that can burn through it is own of the Xeelee's own starbreaker beam (which is gravity laser). It is impervious to all other forms of energy (can turbolaser blast hurt Xeelee construction material?). Xeelee nightfighters have demostrated the ability to survive being inside a star, the ability to match if not greatly exceed the acceleration of Star Wars military ships and is capable of heavily damaging if not outright destroying a planet-size body with their versatile starbreaker. The sole gun of the nightfighter, the starbreaker can also be used to cause star to go nova (hence the name).

I don't know if it is a war the Empire would want to go into.

Let's say the Empire still wants to duke it out and attack the Bolder's Ring the same way the humans of the Xeelee universe did. The Bolder's Ring is a structure constructed of woven cosmic string about the size of a galaxy.

Being the Xeelee, they will be indifferent to the Empire until they bring in the Death Star to try and blow up bits of the Ring at a time (can you blow up cosmic strings with a superlaser?) by then, flocks of Xeelee nightfighters will flick in from hyperspace and proceed to blow the crap out of the Death Star's escort fleet of Star Destroyers, evading their anti-starfighter weapons and being probably immune from it anyway. Then, they move on to the Death Star itself.

If the Xeelee were to do what they did to the humans of the Xeelee universe, if the Empire had annoyed the Xeelee enough, they will be 'put aside' as the Xeelee continue with their task of building a gateway out of their Universe to avoid the Photino bird.

Then the Empires will just have a rapidly cooling universe and the Photino birds to deal with...

This is a very simplified model, those who wish to add their own interpretation is welcome to do so.
