This is pre-WWII. You can sort of tell from the sketch style, from thee way it refers to Japan (Japan in the 1950s was still rebuilding from WWII), the spelling of Tokyo, lots of details. Nothing obvious... except that the upper right hand corner of the page reads "November 1931." --- Simon_Jester

IIRC, they have some apparently leaked character designs of two new alicorns set to be introduced in season three. One if Princess Cadence and the other is a Prince but I don't remember his name.
Anyway, since they're new alicorns in addition to Celestia and Luna, the fandom is (I think) understandably excited by this.
