Politcal Figures/ you dislike or feel are harmful

Post by Darth Yan »

In politics, there are inevitably figures you dislike be they Senators, political pundits or activists. who are the ones you despise most

Bill Maher: My main issue is that the guy is racist against Arabs. He said about how "talk to women who have dated arab men the reviews aren't good". Yes the Middle East has issues with woman, but acting like all arab men are sexist pigs is disgusting. What's more my cousin's grandfather was an Arab man, so obviously the woman he loved saw enough in him to marry him. He also acts like Israel is innocent and can do no wrong. While I do not want to break the political moratorium, but hat is an outright lie and Israel is as bad as the Palestinians. And because he's popular people can still be influenced by his biased horsecrap thereby blocking more balanced view

Pamela Gellar: Muslims and Middle Easterns tend to be the most easy group to get away with bigotry towards, and this woman has helped in many ways by fanning the flames of the Ground Zero Mosque Controversy, which really shouldn't have been that big an issue. Than there's the fact that she tried to defend Ratko Mladic and Radovin Kardzajic, so she obviously just wants to use it to spread poison. And Andre Brevik cited her as a direct inspiration along with Rob Spencer, who is number three for pretty much the same fucking reason, only for being at it longer. so she may be partially responsible for that massacre in norway. E

Newt Gingrich: Even leaving aside his racism and possible insanity he's here for a.) being a bad sport in politics and being a complete dickbag, and for the whole "I can override the supreme court." since he's a front runner this guy can spread his poison and battshittery.

Ron Paul: Even aside from his racism, his economic policies are utterly insane.

Glenn Beck: This guy helped create some of the political climate that exists and helped inspire people to think that it's okay to be arrogant and just blindly kling to your views rather than simply thinking and maybe conceding that you might be wrong.

Gonna focus on what I feel is harmful; no one needs to hear my personal rants. Two groups I feel make the political realm worse.

David Brooks et al.: The political media circuit of D.C., sometimes called the 'Villagers' by some bloggers. They pretty much created the 'Bipartisanship is bending over and taking it from Republicans' reality through their commentary, reporting, and influence over political media. Also for the ridiculousness of them trying to sound like they have a clue about Middle America, some magical place where people agree that arguing is MEAN and if only everyone would listen to the Grown Ups and stop listening to the little people, things would be great. Incriminating quote: “Obama’s problem is he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who could go into an Applebee’s salad bar." Spoiler: Applebees never had one of those. Stop trying to be middle class, you rich spoiled idiots.

Erick Erickson et al.: The hiring of the craziest GOPers from the web by the media, even outside of Fox News. When the guy who made Free Republic(Freeping was, supposedly, invented by him and his fans) is treated as a reasonable commentator by CNN, you know it's gone mad. Incriminating quote: "hahahah . . ahh, but watching that hippy protester get tazed just made my day, wtpo.com, you can watch it for yourself, it is just made of awesome." 'Cause it's funny when hippies are given a little electroshock to the spine.

There are others, but the mainstreaming of GOP nutcases and the 'stop arguing and listen to the rich people' message seems to be a nasty blow to the struggling concept of democracy.
Manic Progressive: A liberal who violently swings from anger at politicos to despondency over them.

Out Of Context theatre: Ron Paul has repeatedly said he's not a racist. - Destructinator XIII on why Ron Paul isn't racist.
