Ladies and gents, I've been wanting to do a documentary about of little form of psychosis for quite some time. However, I lack the funds to globehop all over and interview you all!

I brought the idea up on ASVS, but it fizzled out. How about here on SD.net? All each of us would have to do is grab his or her video camera, set up the scene in an interview style and film it! Make it look like you're talking to the interviewer (me) who is just sitting off-camera. You'd answer questions that I'd send you via e-mail.

Then you'd take that piece of tape and put it on a webpage or something (don't send it to me e-mail!) and I'd grab it and edit the whole sordid affair together! Anyone interested in this or something similar?

If you're going to publsih anything about the debate, why not the educational aspects. You know, how Mike states on the main page that the site can help you learn scientific principles and to apply them. If you reported SW vs. ST straight out, people would jump on the geek bash bandwagon.

Please, you think they wouldn't anyway? This phenomenon isn't interesting in that it strives for legitimacy, but because it truly is a battle of wits, logic, and who can prove their side of the argument with a prepond..prep... a lotta evidence!

Its an intresting idea (heck, I could be a layman and say I'm actually learning something)

gad, if any serious story was done on places like this or ASVS it wouldnt be taken seriously, or given much of any airtime, too much flamage, abuse etc, and ASVS is worse than here due to no moderators.
I imagine that the fundies, racists etc, would hate me due to my walking on water alter ego, Jesus Christ.

The only way we could make national news is if we do something to make a really slow news day, like knock Micheal Jackson out so he doesn't do something stupid and recieve weeks of media attention. The report itself will probably depict us as a bunch of nerds, and little will they know we talk about more than just that, we talk about tihngs like ejaculation distance and lesbian sex between fictional characters.

But seriously. The overall result would depend, 99%, on how it was approached. If CNN gets a look at Scoot's page, it's going to be bad. But if we banded together and explained the various good points behind the immaturity(Learning valuable lessons about the scientific method, logic, morality, etc), and made it clear this was just a hobby, it would be nice.

The Fundies would go nuts if they heard what we say about them, but oh well...
