This exact car is the subject of a tattoo on my upper right thigh. And I don't mean this make and model, but THIS very car.

Barney Oldfield was one of America's first racing celebrities. He's buried in Holy Cross cemetery in Hollywood, I've been to his grave. Bing Crosby, Bela Lugosi, and Sharon Tate are also buried there.TrailerParkJawa wrote:Barney Oldfield? Hehe, that is the first thing that came to mind. I used to work in an amusement park and they had a ride where you went around a track in cars like this. It was called Barney Oldfield.
He drove a lot of cars, but this isn't one of them.

Google search of the Licence Plate "GY-5145" brought up this, so I'll go along with Sir Sirius and say Mercede's 60 H.P. (Chassis number 860 ), why you have a tattoo of it is another story

As to the tattoo, it's from a painting of the 1903 Gordon Bennet cup race in Ireland, with Camille Jenatzy at the wheel with the car doing a power slide-one of my coolest tats and the one no one ever sees. At least in public...
