Lord_of_Change 9 placed the Prussian Star League right on my rimward border in SDNW4. It was... special. Look up his own posts in the STGOD forum for most of his side of the story, but for my own interactions toward him...

Chapter Two Noncanon: Pulp SCIENCE! Fiction
Chapter Two Canon: A Beautiful Dream
Chapter Three: When in Rome
Chapter Four: Mission Accomplished!

Chapter Four: Two Heads of State
Chapter Five: Well Earned Contempt

Hmm...Arcadia proper doesn't speak German, but Berlin Sector is mostly of Germanic descent. So you have a Trade Partner with a German Sector.Panzersharkcat wrote:I wonder if there are any German-speaking nations in this game. Now for the other things that cropped up...the Mice probably wouldn't be a problem for Space Sweden Arcadia. We are rather lenient as long as you don't try and attack us. The Hierarchy probably wouldn't like us considering that Humans are the dominant race. But hey, we have the Furlings so its not all Human dominated! And finally...considering that Arcadia has religious freedom so the Nation might well have some converts from among the Human population (and the occasional Furling...but they are pretty well stuck in their own religion).

I wonder what the Chamarran take on the Capellans is, given they're not human or human decended, and also happen to be a crafted race too.

It's quite possible for there to be a Hierarchy Capella relationship.
Also I think we've got a bigger bias towards alien powers in this version of the game. Which makes things a little less adversarial for scarily dogmatic catgirls.

I imagine the Screworlders will probably just think that the Chamarrans are hunams with a bizarre cat fetish.
Then they just continue playing Footbomb.

Would this be a bad time to say that Furlings are deathly allergic to cat hair? Yeah...might be a good idea to keep them out of diplomatic discussions with the Chamarrans...

I do wonder how the two species of cat people would react to each other.

Speaking of Chamarrans, upon reading Darkevilme's post, the majority of Screworlder exports to the Hierarchy will likely consist of footbomb DVDs, and possibly merchandise.
I wonder who else will be interested in watching the entertaining sport of Footbomb? There's good reason as to why it's popular in the Screworlder Collective, you know.

I see both the Authority and the Hierarchy both have a dim view of the Screworlders, yay for lines drawing themselves.

I imagine that the Screworlders would have some problems with the Arcadians considering we don't like stuff blowing up as much. But we would have even more problems with the Hierarchy considering that our second race (Furlings) are deathly allergic to cat hair...

It's irresponsible, probably, hence the exile of my Brainiac analog.
EDIT: Then again, it's probably a situation where as long as you don't try to blow up the moon or something, you won't be visited at midnight by men in dark suits and hustled into a car with tinted windows.

Being (fairly chilled out) creations of Mad Science, the Bees are technically in the pro- camp... though they'd quite like it if local mad scientists didn't mess around with their DNA or anything else any more thankyouverymuch.

Re: SDNW5 Preliminary Discussion Thread
...That's actually a rather tough question...Arcadia values science heavily. I guess you could say that as long as the 'mad science' doesn't endanger the nation or its people we don't care.

Re: SDNW5 Preliminary Discussion Thread
I guess as long as the 'mad' part isn't criminally insane, doesn't represent a danger for the Community or isn't something like "Kill All Living Things" (like unleashing an interstellar Grey Goo Plague or something along the line), the Stellar Nation might be cool with it.
They value Freedom, and scientific freedom, as long as it doesn't endanger people, follow from there.

Re: SDNW5 Preliminary Discussion Thread
Oh, to be honest, I don't think it's the Screworlders who will be having problems with the Arcadians. It's probably going to be the other way around. Mostly likely if they decide to participate in Footbomb games without being cybernetically modified in the same fashion as the Screworlders. So that if they die, their minds will be transferred to a new body.
Especially since Footbomb involves the enemy team trying to kill your team with YOUR bomb, and you know I mentioned that the bomb has to be kicked into a sign/billboard? That sign is meant to crush the enemy team.
The Screworlders have many mad scientist among them, and they are already insane in teh first place, so they won't care about Umeria. They'll probably actually try to develop relations with them.

'Mad' Science is just another way of getting the competitive advantage over your opponents, a prized commodity in The Commonwealth for those with power. Those without are kind of shit out of luck regardless.

Well given that the Capellens themselves are tank grown beings potetnially developed by scietnists of unkown sanity, who went through a peroid of expansion where they threw wave after wave of colony ships through a portal with an approximatly 50% failure rate...Simon_Jester wrote:Hmmm.

I don't think they'd have anything particulalry against mad scientists.

Yes, but I meant to put that the Arcadians would be having problems, not the Screworlders. Which is what I meant by confusion, the mix up I did...KhorneFlakes wrote:Confusion? I though you were saying it the way it was written.
