Even though I don't have a free trade route to reciprocate with, I'd be interested in taking on trade from Arcadia, assuming the Arcadians don't receive better offers first.

As for the subject of Scumdogs and Swedish weapons...Belkan Space Drakens and Space Gripens. The more well-off bohabs get the Gripens, of course, while the rest have to make do with the Drakens.

I'll see who else comes forward, but if I don't have better offers by tomorrow, then sure, Space Japan can have a trade route.

This odyssey, this, exodus. Do we journey toward the promised land, or into the valley of the kings? Three decades ago I envisioned a new future for our species, and now that we are on the brink of realizing my dream, I feel only solitude, and regret. Has my entire life's work been a fool's crusade? Have I led my people into this desert, only to die?

I would like to take a poll, I have an urge to scrap the Braxian Collective and play the Big muthafuckin Space Crab Empire, based off this: http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Crab_Truckers. I feel like the Braxians are too serious.

Thoughts?

Not really something you want to base an entire macronation off of. They'd fit right in as a large micronation, though. They make a decent enough profit for themselves as interstellar couriers, and only the most foolhardy dare to mess with them because THEY'RE BIG MOTHERFUCKING CRABS.

Yeah.

Personally, I'd like to see, mostly, macronations that can be played seriously, that are not a pure joke. Guys like the Goddamn Bees and the Greys can be funny, but they can also be serious and look out for their own interests if someone else approaches them on a serious level.

What I saw working in SDNW4 was that you could go back and forth from joking around to SERIOUS BUSINESS with great freedom. And you could adapt to what other people wanted to do, and one day have joking craziness like the BEEEF (an economic conference and mutual trade show), but the next day have serious stuff like military skirmishes or joint investigations into the abduction of your nations' citizens or whatnot.

But this is exactly what micronations are for, so BIG MOTHERFUCKING CRABTOPIA makes perfect sense in that context.

Just be careful around the Sheppoes.

Like Simon said, there is no reason to feel like something is too serious for this game, I mean I plan on playing my nation for the most part serious as a concept and I don't feel any worse off for it. The idea that you have to go out and make a ridiculous farce of nation is something that probably won't last, because jokes eventually stop being funny the tenth time they are told with a twist.

Giant Enemy Space Crabs would make a really good NPC micronation though.

Then its settled. I henceforth will play a micronation. I will write up some muthafuckin fluff and some muthafuckin crunch for the the big muthfuckin crab planet.

Please send all requests to the Crab Goddess on Crab Mountain. And let the big muthafucking space truckin begin.

On a side note, I also like the micro nation idea due to my already small participation anyway. This way, I can dip in, process some muthafuckin tuckin quests for the Crab Goddess, and serve my place in the galactic community.

Of course, that means anybody who has the Braxians as a trading partner should do well to find new partners ASAP. Last I checked, Arcadia's in need of more trading partners, and the Holy Empire could always use more trade routes hooked up to it.

And it was bilateral trade, too. The Bastians should still have plenty of options to send outgoing trade to, but they may have to take a hit to incoming trade...

Well, what I was thinking was that the two have a very tightly-linked history, with the Bastians being one of the largest financial backers and customers of Crab People shipping. Perhaps we could even say we use them to ship Space Sweden's ship parts to us.

Yes, I want to participate, but I'm gearing up for graduation and school has much of my attention. Plus I'm the Battalion Cadet XO and that has quite a few responsibilities. Its just more than I can chew to dedicate a good macro nation. But, on the plus side, if things change, I have it all saved.

Feralgnoll, you've got to think in terms of the long haul. When they're managed well and there are enough players, these things run for months. SDNW4 ran for at least a year before things started to peter out noticeably.

If you have no time right now, but expect to have a bit more time in a month or two (because summer), then your best bet is to calculate your involvement in terms of what you can do then. We can plunk the Braxians on the map, not do much with them for four to eight weeks while you write occasional GIANT MOTHERFUCKIN CRAB posts to sort of keep your stress level down, and then pick them up again when you've got more time after graduation.

This is only a real problem if you anticipate not being able to put in the time to follow the game and occasionally do a post from your macronation at all, not being able to do this for a long time because of really long-lasting commitments like "I'm being deployed to Sandistan and they shoot people for playing STGODs there." Then, yeah, you might want to drop the macronation.

But don't drop your country now on account of things happening in the next four weeks. We can deal with temporary absences coming from someone who plans to get back on the horse later.

It's only the guys who roll up a country, then never give a crap about it and don't come back that are a problem, because those guys are just cluttering up the map.

So, to make a long story short, you may not need to drop your macronation after all. You can if you really feel it necessary, but think twice about whether it's necessary.

You see, I'm the reverse of that problem...I have a lot of time now but I won't over the summer. Namely because I use the school provided laptop for this and they are taking it back in about a month. Of course, I can still play Space Sweden, since I will be online at least once a week, so that's not a problem.

And Shinn, since no one came forward you get one trade route for high-quality Furling Arcadian ship-parts and weapons. That still leaves me with one spare route though, so anyone who wants a reciprocal trade route step forward and let me know. Space Sweden loves the monies after all. :P

(And since they are so serious, I have my SPACE VIKINGS!!! to get the WTF factor going. Feralgnoll has the GIANT SPACE CRABS, while I have the SPACE VIKINGS!!! :D )
