My memory is still a little hazy but I believe Luke built the ship for his new wife to make up for losing the Jade's Fire, her old personal ship(which she loved as much as Han loves the MF) And then the Jade Saber is lost on Dantooine when Yuuzhan Vong ransack and destroy the ship.

Well, actually, she decided to use the Jade's Fire as a weapon, and rammed it into a hangar on Nirauan to deny the Chiss any air support.

I think it has some sort of docking bay in the stern, I read it in one of the NJO books. I'll look for an exact quote.
