ROTJ and Ewoks
1) How worthless is stormtrooper armor if the soldiers can be beaten by 3 foot teddy bears' sticks and bow and arrows?
2) Where were the AT-ATs? There were AT-ATs on Endor, what happened to them?
3) Why didn't the stormtroopers request reinforcements? There must have been hundreds of thousands of stormtroopers at LEAST orbiting above the moon in the fleet and the DS. If they were getting whomped, why didn't they call in support or at least detach an ISD to incinerate the area around the shield generator or at least called in aerial support?
4) The bunker had absolutely NO defense systems.

1. The stormtrooper armor is designed to lessen the power of a blaster hit, not to stop blunt trauma.
2. AT-ATs were blocked be the thick trees and may have not been able to manuver. Alos, the front entrance had to be guarded be something.
3. They did; why else do you think there were hundreds of guys going towards the battle in the first half of it?
4. It secret entrance wouldn't be a secret entrance if it was guarded by a whole funking division and a shit load of TL batteries, now would it? And what bout those thick blast doors and internal defences

1) At no point do we see an Ewok arrow pierce the stormtrooper armor, unless I'm just totally forgetting something.
I should add that in AoTC, we see Jango Fett's Mandolorian armor, which is similar, being kicked around and trampled by a pretty heavy best with no real damage.
2) The area the battle took place was pretty heavily covered with trees; an AT-AT probably couldn't have done very well.
3) Cockiness? Also the battle was somewhat chaotic; they may not have had time. And also, what Johansen said.
4) Yes it did. They're called "stormtroopers."

You can still bludgeion someone in armor to death with big fucking rocks. It was never peirced by Ewok arrows and it survived the hits with rocks just fine, it's just the trooper inside didn't survive the impacts.1) How worthless is stormtrooper armor if the soldiers can be beaten by 3 foot teddy bears' sticks and bow and arrows?
They weren't there because the terrian was completely insuitable. Those are big motherfuckers and they need very stable terrian to support them, something that forest wasn't. Besides, an AT-AT was not the sort of armor they needed anyways.2) Where were the AT-ATs? There were AT-ATs on Endor, what happened to them?
An ISD or TIEs: They were engaged with the Rebel Fleet and fighters so they couldn't really be spared when the ground troopers had everything in hand. Second of all those trees would likely have made sending in TIE dicey as they'd be likely to do as much collateral damage to the Imps as to the Rebels.3) Why didn't the stormtroopers request reinforcements? There must have been hundreds of thousands of stormtroopers at LEAST orbiting above the moon in the fleet and the DS. If they were getting whomped, why didn't they call in support or at least detach an ISD to incinerate the area around the shield generator or at least called in aerial support?
ISD based reinforcements: They had no need to call in support until battle had been joined and then it was too late. They'd have had to drop the sheilds and expose the generator to Cap-ship fire to let the troops land and that would have been a dumb idea indeed. Not to mention any dropships would have to run the gamut of Rebel fighters which would have tagged them easily enough.
Ground Based Reinforcements: They had things under control and were taking care of the Ewoks. They were confident (perhaps overly so) enough that they had things under control. And they did right up until Chewie got the walker at which it became to late anyways.
They do, they were those white armored guys and all the other gun toting guys? Remember them? Troops should have been enough to defend it and they were had they not screwed up at the last minute.4) The bunker had absolutely NO defense systems.

He gets bashed up thoroughly enough to where it would be unlikely for an unarmored person to survive without reasonable injury.white_rabbit wrote:You know, I looked at that in slow-mo, and it doesnt appear that Jango actually gets trodden on, bashed around...but not trampled.I should add that in AoTC, we see Jango Fett's Mandolorian armor, which is similar, being kicked around and trampled by a pretty heavy best with no real damage

While we don't hear them calling for them, you can see fresh troops coming out of the forest and the number of walkers seen in the begining is less than that of the total number of walkers destroyed, so that clearly means that fresh walkers came to help.

Considering the seize of the installation there easily could have been thousands of troops tied down guarding the main entrance and surface equipment.Galaxy wrote:Shit there wasn't enough troopers to be designated as a legion. The emperor must have exaggerated.
The battle on Geonosis, NOW THAT WAS A LEGION.

Given this was the "back entrance" and not apparently as heavily guarded it makes sense that we don't see a legion. After all, it'd be stupid to guard the back and leave the front open. And we know there are more troops and at least one AT-AT else where you obviously that wasn't the whole garrison there.Galaxy wrote:Shit there wasn't enough troopers to be designated as a legion. They could have been else where on the planet or haf of them could be on the off shift of the day. Also, did you even consider that we might have not seen all of the troops or Ewoks.

At one point of battle we can see ScoutTrooper with armor sticking from his back.
I know, I know, some will argue that arrow merely pierced bodysuit area
Anyway, I agree with Adm Johnason that stormtrooper armor isn't exactly designed to stop blunt trauma.
Also, during battle one of the stormtroopers falls dawn and when he gets up we can see that his shoulder armor is cracked. That would imply that Mandolarian armor is not similiar to the stormtrooper armor.

Funny, I don't see anyone else wanking off about 'superphasers' and '1,000,000c' warp drive and then running off when called on their bullshit.Galaxy wrote:Hmm if u really wanna know how i got this title... all i did was act like YOU

Jesus, Galaxy, you could at leat troll with style. That was the lamest insult I've heard in a long damn time. What are you, four fucking years old?Galaxy wrote:Hmm if u really wanna know how i got this title... all i did was act like YOU
I shouldn't be doing this, but your dumbassness is just too much. Here's a tip on insulting:
If someone insults you, your comeback should NOT be "I know you are, but what am I?" And really, that's all your above post was. Tycho said you trolled, you said, "Yeah, well you do too." That's stupid bullshit. Come on, be creative. Show some fucking self-respect.
As it stands now, you're not only a worthless trolling palmfucker, but you're a worthless trolling palmfucker with lame-ass insults. Fucking pathetic.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

My point exactly. This guy isn't even a good troll. I'm just going to ignore this motherfucker, unless he shapes up and starts throwing real insults. As it is, I have no time for his lukewarm bullshit.
