There are hardly any excesses of the most crazed psychopath that cannot easily be duplicated by a normal kindly family man who just comes in to work every day and has a job to do.

I never said it was. But if you're looking for a motive in an arson attack, "the victim admitted on television to teaching his kids to steal from innocent shopkeepers," is an elephant in the room.Zaune wrote:And that's some kind of justification for murdering six kids how, exactly?Grumman wrote:According to Madd0ct0r, the father was a criminal who was teaching his children to become criminals - or at least portrayed as such in that documentary. I didn't say (in my OP) "I BET HE DID IT". I said, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that one of the parents, or both, did it.Eternal_Freedom wrote:I know what you meant. So what; this world is pretty fucked up...so what's your point? Why is my opinion any worse than anybody else? Or is it that it doesn't align with yours that you have an issue with it?
That is not what I was implying jackass.Lord Revenous wrote:How dare he not drive himself to his own death and leave his wife without a husband and his remaining 11 (12 at that point) children without a father!
No shit. I never said it did. True, Ok...so in this instance I'm being cynical. I am basing my opinion on nothing more than a gut feeling. I've made this implicitly clear. So pointing it out is moot.Lord Revenous wrote:It is incredibly cynical to assume the father killed his own kids just because he didn't die while trying to save them when you have no evidence pointing towards it nor any knowledge on the happiness and love for each other of the family in question.
Dude, just shut the fuck up. No kidding...WHERE have I indicated otherwise. Obviously the whole point just woooshed over your head.Aaron MkII wrote:Relax dude, not everyone is your father.

So UK posters- is this "right-wing shock jock" Malone someone with actual political influence, like Ann Coulter over here? Or is she more like Howard Stern, who basically just says the most outrageous things possible for ratings and doesn't really have any political pull?

I'm not sure I'd really rate Ann Coulter as having pull. Sure, she might be able to tap someone or something's approval rating a point or two if she works at it, but you could say the same of pretty much any competent 'big face' associated with the major news organizations.
It's not like she can get legislation passed. Or even really decide an election- hell, I doubt she'd have much weight in a primary, let alone a general.

Coulter has no pull and seeing her outside Fox News is pretty rare as she's crossed the line a few to many times in her effort to stay relevant. Besides the fact she's just bad at confrontation. When called on something all she can do is stone-wall, she can't lie effectively.
And lets be blunt the only reason she got a TV gig to begin with was because she was A, Hot and B, could speak well for conservative causes. A is less and less relevant each year as she's looked like a bag for awhile now and lots more pretty blonds on Fox can do B better than she can. To the point the Interchangeable Fox News Blondes are now up to eight women it's hard to tell apart all good looking female anchors who could body double for each other in movies.
To that point Coulter rare gets to go on TV because she can't be number 9.

You know, you are right. It is sad; I can't help it. I guess sometimes I get this way because of how many times you hear about these types of tragidies and crimes only to find out later on down the road that it was a parent.Eternal_Freedom wrote:I tihnk it's sad that you hear of a tragic and terrible crime and jump to what is pretty much the worst possible conclusion, with the possilbe exception of "the government did it"cadbrowser wrote:I didn't say (in my OP) "I BET HE DID IT". This falls in line with a lot of the way I think about as far as life in general goes. Expect the worst, hope for the best; hopefully, life deals you something in the middle.

Latest news - the parents of the dead children have been arrested http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-de ... e-18250397
So I stare wistfully at the Lightning for a couple of minutes. Two missiles, sharply raked razor-thin wings, a huge, pregnant belly full of fuel, and the two screamingly powerful engines that once rammed it from a cold start to a thousand miles per hour in under a minute. Life would be so much easier if our adverseries could be dealt with by supersonic death on wings - but alas, Human resources aren't so easily defeated.
