Galaxy's debating style can label him as both. Brings up stupid topic (idiot), gets his as kicked badly, insults people to throw them off-topic in hopes that it'll degenerate into a flame war an dhis idiocy will be forgotten (troll). When that doesn't work he either abandons the topic to ttroll esle where, or dissapear for months on end and reappear wiht the same stupid shit and hope everyone forgot. (troll)

Okay, I'm gonna make a terrible confession here -- I'm still a Trek fan (TOS and some of TNG/DS9. The only reason I'm confessing this is so that you'll understand the impact of what I'm about to announce:

Um, you do realize that a lot of people here like TOS, Raoul? Quite a few even like TNG, or DS9. The issue is that he's totally ignoring evidence in order to be a trolling moron. So don't assume it's a simple equasion of which series is 'right', else you'll end up like a rabid fan outlined below.

I've said this a million times already: Just because you like a series doesn't mean you have to defend technical aspects of it. I might like the film Gladiator more than Saving Private Ryan, but how stupid of a fan would I have to be to argue that the one I think has better storytelling must therefore have better technology? To the rabid loonies out there who can't admit their favorite show has everything to whoop anything else's ass: grow the fuck up.

They come close in far too many regards.

Hell I loved the series...but nowhere did I think Shadow ship vs SSD...Shadow ship was going to pull victory, and after some time here...I still love the series...yet know how far down the whole tech level B5 is.

Seriously what drives people to think love for series equates to need for making bullshit defenses?

I honestly had no idea. I mean, I knew that most people here dig TOS, but aside from the notables like E1701, I thought I was among a recalcitrant few here who like TNG/DS9.

That said, I'm not at all subscribing to the idea that one show has any "rightness" or "wrongness" compared to another show. Unfortunately, in my past, I've made a few dangerously close passes to that kind of thinking, which is why this fool's rampant indulgence in it leaves even me dumbfounded.

When he first came here he was "merely" a complete idiot. He left for a while, but now that he's back, he's become a complete troll. In all of those posts, he does nothing but insult other users. He dismisses arguments he doesn't like out of hand, ignores evidence presented to him, etc. It's clearly an effort at trolling. As to the allegation that he's trying to copy Scooter's style, I would suggest to you that he is either not trying to do that or is doing a terrible job of it. Anderson always liked to make people run around and look up additional evidence, while making giganto-posts that made his opponents run around for significant amounts of time while gleaning evidence to use against him. All Galaxy does is annoy people.
