It takes me about 10-15 minutes to take a shower. Then there is the rest of my family...who takes about 30-45 minutes.

5-10 minutes, 15 minutes if I'm also washing my hair, at least 30 minutes if my GF is showering with me.

You are showering too much. When you overdo it the soap just strips all the moisture and oils out of your skin and you end up with the skin problems you're having. One shower a day is enough unless you're working out a lot or need to be super fresh for social stuff.

I can shower in 5 minutes (one week I had time for like a 1:30 shower every day), but usually my mind wanders and I realize I've been standing there for 5 minutes doing nothing. A lot of the time I end up around 20-25 minutes.

Same here. Plus I get distracted by the sensation of hot water running down my back.

Shower. In the morning I usually take it first thing after getting up, otherwise I can't even function. On rare ocassisns I take them simply to reset an internal clock that's out of whack. Usual time is ten minutes, although I can do it in one minute if rushed.

Baths I only take with pretty hot water to soak, and then only if I feel really sick or ache. This is extremely rare.

You can't beat the 30 second Lackland AFB shower. It's just enough time to get wet, soap up your armpits and groin, rince off, and hop out.

I prefer showers, since when you take a bath, you end up swimming around in your own filth. But I find baths more comfortable. I'll only tkae one if I'm wearking a bathing suit and in a jaccuzi tub.

I take baths, and even though thats my only option, I still prefer them, I can never get a shower to feel as relaxing.

I prefer showers and haven't taken a bath in years. Generally takes me about 15-20 minutes. It takes a while to scrape the dead skin off my feet from going barefoot all the time. now i wonder how many people are going to express disgust at that last bit

I usually go with showers, unless I have a sore or strained muscle that needs to soak in the hot water for while. Works wonders...

Unless you have a large whirlpool-style tub, baths don't even compare to showers.

In the shower, I can just put my arms out and lean against the wall, close my eyes, and enjoy the feel of the hot water just melting away the day's troubles. Then I can turn around and let it run down my back. And with a shower, you can have that after just the minute it takes the water to heat up, while with a bath, you have to sit there and wwwwwwaaaaaiiiiiiitttttt for the tub to fill.

And with a partner, baths don't stand a friggin chance. With my tub, that damn thing's barely large enough to fit one person lying down, let alone two. NTM that when you *ahem* move around too much, you end up slopping water over the side. Not a problem in the shower, and the falling water adds an extra level of sensation.

Oh, and my average shower takes 20-30 minutes, because after a long day, it's one of the things I look forward to the most, and I really take my time.

When rushed, or on the occasions I take a morning shower, I can finish in 4-5 minutes.

Man, you guys aren't very patient. It doesn't take that long for bathtubs to fill...

I shower everyday, usually for about 10 minutes. When I feel like pampering myself, when I've had a shitty day, or when I'm celebrating something, I take a long, luxurious bath with scented oils and bubbles, put on some music, scatter my candles around the bathroom, turn off all the lights, lean back and just relax.....

I could take a shower in 5 minutes at best. At most I'll take a shower 3 times a day. I usually do that during the summer in the morning after my morning work out, in the evening after my evening work out and then once more if I just feel like it cause it's so hot and I feel sticky.

You can't beat a good shower after a hard day's work in the yard, set building, soccer practice or some similar activity. However, sometimes it's just nice to wade in a bath for a while and squeeze a few rounds off. :P

I haven't taken a bath in years. I usually shower for 20-25 minutes, not because I want to but because Iforgetwhat I'm doing. Its so relaxing I just zone out and get lost in thought, and when I come to I've been standing in the tub for 15 minutes, and haven't accomplished a damn thing besides getting wet.

Showers.

I can be in and then out the door of the bathroom in 2 minutes if need be. Most of the time I'm in there for 20 minutes, feels comforting and wakes you up. Obviously, that time must be extended if my g/f is present.. :D

Showers. I don't have the goddamned time for a bath. I can take a shower in under five minutes and hop out clean and ready to go to work.

Shower is for basic need for me...don't have 20-30 minutes to get ready for the beginning of the day.

I perfer baths more because I can just lay in the tub and just rest for a while.
