The setting, as Yuri prepares to activate his psychic dominators a series of powerplants are knocked out by Electromagnetic Pulse, suddenly The ground of Golden Gate park is torn asunder, as stange mole vehicles emerge discorging troops and vehicles.

As a new command center is built up, Yuri's intiantes find them selves faced with foes that are more machine then man. The president of the United States and Primier Romanoff look in horror at the cyborged face of the man from the future who killed Stalin has Returned!

The Tiberium Future is what comes from winning as the Soviets in the original Red Alert(Let me tell you about the Future, comrade general. I am the future.). Yuri's future is from the Allies winning. So yes, seperate timelines.

I always thought the Tiberium timeline was supposed to be our future, and Red Alert's was the only alternate with Kane being a tie-in or something.
Oh well, doesn't matter really.
