I should have explained in the first place: in the same non-sexual way that Zaia was talking about in the first place, I think it is good to love as much as you can. Being loved in return is just icing.

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

The vain hope that someday, somehow, I'll get laid keeps me alive.

Seriously, though, why shouldn't I live? I was born and I may as well make the most of it.

I live because I have fear of the painful process of Death- and the poor quality of living that would be the result of non-fatal injury.

Well, my purpose for living is to learn several forms of high science and take over the world with my army of petite asian women, eventually improving everyone's quality of life and systematically destroying this annoying ritual called courtship so that people will stop getting in complicated drama and just find who they're happy with. But don't mind me, I'm just your average power hungry maniac.

Life in general serves no purpose but to continue itself for the next generation.

I continue living in an effort to bring enjoyment to others, and to educate the next generation.

The purpose of life is to make more life. Seriously, though, I think something must have fucked us up royally in the beginning. We really don't need such sentience. Hell, we KILL and DESTROYourselves over it! There is no need for human consciousness. We would get by so fine without it. So...This is either because the first ape-men learned that smashing in the heads of other tribes would give them superiority, or this is God's idea of a sick, twisted joke.

Myself, I'm not up for that whole no reason thing. I carve my own fate, make my own reason, because my reason is the one I'll like. From that extends the wish that those finding their own reason be left alone to find it. One of my highest tenets- do not interrupt a true seeker unless what he seeks harms someone else.

Don't worry, Ghost Rider, it was my fault. I should have quoted. Glad I didn't, though. That was most amusing. :D

No, but that angle is perfectly valid and even desireable to many people(I know a few), it is a basic function of most life after all.
