For those who assume that mixing religion and pop culture is an idea doomed to failure, the project's creators have already successfully re-invented The Simpsons' often mocked Ned Flanders as a positive role model for Christians.

What about a reality show about people forced into some kind of lethal gladiatorial combat. I'm talking the real old school net-and-trident shit. You convince them there's fifty million dollars for the last surviving participant, but at the end, you have them executed. Everybody wins!

Obviously they missed so many Simpsons episodes if they think Flanders isn't being mocked.

It is only a matter of time until the thirst for entertainment leads us back to the days of the Roman Coliseums, where we will watch people butcher each other.

Yeah ... hilarious. :)

Wonder if these dolts will bother trying it for real. Just put some people on a ship designed by modern engineers and put 2 of every possible animal on it. Tell them to make sure that the animals don't eat each other, that they have to clean up all the feces, feed the animals regularly, and we'll throw in some cloned dinosaurs, just for good measure.

They also seem to have missed how his kids have turned out.

Awww, don't be all boo-hoo, Durandal. You must admit, it is funny that the prize is 666 pounds. Besides, part of the reason your first name is so sexy is because it's got that hint of eeeeeeeevilness to it.

I'm sure some Chrsitian channel will try it, but it will go sour when it is realized such a ship cannot be built. They'll just have to stick with reality TV shows like "The Bachelor Priest".
