Today, as I was riding the subway, I saw a stand and a bunch of fundies giving out brochures and singing gospel. Eager to get my daily dose of stupidity, I came up to them, and, after a brief talk, during which I told them I was doing a paper on religion (which is tru, btw), I got my hands on a small book entitled
More Than A Carpenter by Josh McDowell. It was not one of the brochures they were giving out, but rather it was one of the books she was reading. According to the fundie that gave it to me, the book "proved that Jesus was the Lord from a scientific standpoint". Of course, after hearing "Jesus" and "science" I simply could not refuse the book. Also, on the back, it said that the book was not for individual sale, which means that was probably my only chance to get my hands on this book. The back of the book told me this:
Josh McDowell thought Christians must be "out of their minds"...He argued against fith. But eventually he saw that his arguments wouldn't stand up. Jesus christ really was God in human flesh....
Et cetera. So, when I finish reading this, I will share the stupidity of the author on this forum.
Have a very nice day.
