The 700 Club on Channel 7 ABC vs. ST:TNG on Channel 20

Post by MKSheppard »

Sunday Morning, 10 AM.

You wake up and turn the TV on and are faced with the choice
between watching some fundie blather on the 700 Club for a
few hours on Channel 7, or watching Picard bone Riker in his Ready Room
on ST:TNG, on Channel 20.

Which one do you choose?

I turn off the TV. I can A. Turn on the Dedicated Playstation TV and play Gran Turismo/Einhander/Space-Shooter-Of-The-Week, or B. Walk outta the room and start surfing the Internet/play Quake/look at porn/listen to MP3s/load MSPaint and work on a Starship or Weapon... :D

I enjoy my 2 hour hate with the 700 Club. I'd choose TNG really, but I would flick back and forth during commercials.
Try and get satelite or cable, Shep.

I haven't seen any TNG in a long while, I think I'd gladly take the TNG.

TNG. I've seen the 700 club. It's just really really disturbing.

TNG, play a game, or read a book. 700 club is very, very low priority.

Neither, go exercise, read a book, visit the firing range, engage in some other productive hobby, do something that won't make you fat or kill braincells.

TNG.

If a TV show is called something as dumb as The 700 Club, then it's a sign that one should stay away from it.

(BTW, why is it called "The 700 Club"??? Couldn't Pat Robertson call it something more interesting such as "The Amazing Preach-O"???)

This is one of those "shoot the TV" situations. That, or use the off button.

I'd rather watch TNG, since I haven't seen it, and I know how disturbing the 700 Club is.

And, where is the "700" from? Is that he number of Bibles they thump during the show? The number of brain cells they have? The number of brain cells you lose by watching it?
