Ok. The first and biggest was of course an underage sex scandal.

SINGAPORE: Former executive director of the Singapore Environment Council, Howard Shaw, has been sentenced to three months' jail for having paid sex with an underage girl.
The 41-year-old grandson of the founder of Shaw Organisation admitted in June to paying a 17-year-old girl S$500 for sex in October 2010.
In the prosecution's submissions, it stated that the offence warrants a custodial sentence and urged the court to mete out a three-month jail term to Shaw.
The prosecution said the minor involved is "worthy" of protection as stated under the law.
Adding that the extent of the culpability depends on whether Shaw tried to verify the minor's age, the prosecution pointed out the accused took absolutely no steps to ascertain the girl's age.
The prosecution said having done nothing to ascertain the girl's age yet the defence asked for a non-custodial sentence is something that "cannot be done".
If the minor refuses to show documents to confirm her age, the prosecution said a patron should walk away "as due diligence".

Howard shaw is a big time honcho, but other of the 80 men charged with having underage sex with a prostitute included civil servants and a principal, who was actually the first to be charged and jailed for six weeks.
Well, a case of moral torpitude, and yeah, underage sex was wrong, but its clearly the girl and pimp fault because they deceived others. The news about that court case doesn't reveal whether Mr Teo is fully aware of her age of course.... But so far, just scandalous.
Of course, what followed next had a national impact.
The opposition party Worker Party, which made national news for seizing Aljunied GRC while securing its old holding ground in Hougang, the first in Singapore history, well, the chosen successor in Hougang got his sex scandal released.
http://utwt.blogspot.sg/2012/02/sex-sca ... going.html
MP Yaw Shin Leong was found to be doing the hanky panky with another party supporter, who also happened to be married..... And so, he "chose to resign" and thus the electoral seat of Hougang was left up for another by-election.(Which had its own exciting news, culminating when a Hougang resident sued the Prime Minister for delaying the by election and thus leaving her without electoral representation in Parliament. Oh GODS! I love you madam!)Sex Scandals in Singapore: What's Going On?
Sex scandals have recently been hogging the news headlines in Singapore. High profile individuals in positions of senior responsibility in the public service, as well as an opposition MP, have been alleged to have committed adultery. All three of the accused senior public servants (the chiefs of SCDF and CNB and a primary school principal) have been forced to resign from their positions, while opposition MP Yaw Shin Leong has resigned from his leadership position in the Workers Party. The serial expose of infidelity has left me wondering: what is going on with Singapore's leaders? Why are so many sex scandals happening in this island nation?
But so far, no foul, right?
Of course, it just so happened that during that SAME period, another two PUBLIC OFFICIALS got caught for having adultery.
And the case evolved into something more complex.

http://www.asiaone.com/News/Latest+News ... 23860.htmlTen counts of corruption.
That’s what former Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) chief Peter Lim Sin Pang is facing after being charged in court today.
The 52-year-old is alleged to have shown favour to potential vendors in return for sexual gratification from women representing different companies.
The three women according to Channel NewsAsia are:
1) Pang Chor Mui, a general manager at Nimrod Engineering (married, in her 40s)
2) Lee Wei Hoon, a director at Singapore Radiation Centre (married, in her 40s)
3) Esther Goh, a business development director at NCS Private Limited (single, age unknown)
The sexual encounters happened between 2 May 2010 to 23 November 2011 when Lim was still chief of SCDF.
Esther Goh is apparently involved in seven sexual encounters with Lim.
Lim could end up in jail for five years and be slapped with a fine of $100,000 for each count of corruption, if found guilty.
However, according to Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao, the prosecutor has said that only three of the charges will be pursued if Lim pleads guilty.
The three charges are:
1) Receiving oral sex from Pang Chor Mui at a car park at Stadium Walk.
2) Accepting sexual gratification in return for favours from Lee Wei Hoon in Paris.
3) Receiving sexual gratification in exchange for favours from Esther Goh at Marina Bay Golf Course.
The remaining seven charges will be considered by the judge when the verdict is passed, reported the newspaper. It is uncertain whether Lim will plead guilty to the charges. His lawyer said he will consult his client before presenting his case.
Lim's next court hearing is on 5 July.
The Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB), arrested Lim in early January for allegations of 'serious personal misconduct'.
Prior to Lim’s arrest, the CPIB also arrested former Central Narcotics Bureau director Ng Boon Gay for similar reasons.
News of CPIB nabbing both men was first published by the Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao
Sex-for-business case: Ex-CNB chief to claim trial
SINGAPORE - Former Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) chief Ng Boon Gay has announced through his lawyers that he will be claiming trial for all four charges of corruption he is facing in relation to the high profile sex-for-business case.
The 46-year-old Ng had allegedly received sexual gratification from Ms Cecilia Sue Siew Nang, who was then an employee of IT vendors Oracle Corporation Singapore and Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), in return for "furthering the business interests" of the companies she was working for. His lawyers also told the media on July 19 that they have yet to be given the specifics of the charges brought against Ng.
Ng's lawyer had previously raised to the court that the charges against Ng did not clarify how he had helped "further the business interests" of the companies. Senior Counsel Tan Chee Meng and Ms Melanie Ho said yesterday that the generality of the charges is a point they intend to bring before the trial judge.
The team is asking prosecution to clarify what the supposed corrupt acts are, as well as define the business interests that were allegedly furthered.[/quote]
Hmmmm. Having a blowjob while discussing business. Sounds steamy.
Out of.... respect for the members, I won't link to their picture, although I think so far, only two of the participants pics has been released. I'm sure that the blogosphere has already dug out the facebook account for esther goh though, but yeah........
Of course, one can now imagine why the winners of our FHM modelling competition/GND joined the banking industry.
Now, to top it off, we have professionals breaching the professional trust implicit in their relationships.

Posted: 25 July 2012 2312 hrs
SINGAPORE : A psychiatrist has been suspended for three years for having a long-term sexual relationship with a patient while she was under his care.
Dr Kong Sim Guan, a psychiatrist at The Psychiatric & Behavioural Medicine Clinic (Ang & Kong), faced one charge of professional misconduct arising from a complaint to the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) on March 23, 2010.
"The fact that Dr Kong had a sexual relationship with the patient for at least 10 years between 1997 to about 2008 was never denied," said the SMC in a statement on Wednesday.
Dr Kong, 63, contested the charge on the basis that the relationship only started after the doctor-patient relationship had ended.
And of course, the law professor in this case has claimed that he was being......... "attacked" by the PAP because he criticised the legal system in the past. Right, it had nothing to do with the fact that you "allowed" a student to seduce you so that you gave her a better grade in class..........It’s certainly not a happy birthday for former National University of Singapore (NUS) law student Darinne Ko, who instead of happily celebrating turning 23 today, probably spent more time with her lawyers to discuss her alleged role in the ‘sex for grades’ case.
And she’s hired some of the best lawyers in town, with well-known lawyers Subhas Anandan and Sunil Sudheesan representing her, according to a report from The New Paper (TNP) which first broke the ‘sex for grades’ story.
She allegedly had sex with the law faculty’s Associate Professor Tey Tsun Hang for better grades.
One NUS law faculty student told Lianhe Wanbao that Ms Ko only got a ‘B’ grade for the module ‘Personal Property Law’ which was taught by Tey.
Tey, who was a former district judge, was charged in court yesterday for corruption.
He is also said to have allegedly received gifts from the student amounting to over $1,000, including a Montblanc pen, an iPod and shirts, and had sex with her twice in four days during a two-month period in 2010, reported Lianhe Wanbao.
Others who had known Ms Ko told the Chinese daily she came from a wealthy family and did not seem too concerned about her grades.
And come on, her best friend was like, so much hotter...........

And of course, this is on top of numerous itsy bitsy sex stuff like the Ferrari Driver car crash, which was posted here earlier and the "pub hostess" in his car..... speeding at more than 90km/hr at 4am, and driving towards the hourly hotels direction......A female teacher of a secondary school is currently being investigated by police for allegedly having sex with a male student, reported Lianhe Wanbao and The Straits Times.
The secondary school is said to be one of the top schools in Singapore.
The teacher, said to be in her twenties, was a literature teacher and in charge of one of the school’s sports teams, according to both newspapers.
The student involved is now 16-years-old and was a member of the sports team under her charge.
Many believe that the pair began to develop feelings for each other after spending prolonged periods of time together as the boy was part of the teacher's sports team, reported Lianhe Wanbao.
According to The Straits Times, the two had sex more than once. When the parents found out about their relationship, they complained to the school immediately.
The teacher is said to have left the school in March 2012 after the incident came to light. When the Chinese daily asked the school whether the teacher left on her own or was sacked, the school replied via email that it will provide an answer within three days.
The police have confirmed that they have received a report and are currently conducting investigations.
Since the boy was underaged when the incident occurred, the identities of the student and the teacher, as well as the name of the school, cannot be revealed.
When contacted, the principal of the secondary school refused to confirm whether the teacher is still with the school, saying “I have not received any notice from the police regarding the case,” reported Lianhe Wanbao.
A spokesperson from the Ministry of Education said it will work with the school and the police in ongoing investigations.
Or how the new gambling resorts at Marina Bay Sands and Sentosa resort is now being.... utilised as part of the illegal sex trade.....
Oh. And Singapore is still on the international shitlist for human trafficking due to the sex trade, which our ministers promptly protested to Hilary Clinton.
Its NSFW, but I love how the blogosphere reaction to the earlier corruption news in february was to point out that this shows that Singapore anti-graft efforts is obviously not working well enough. Our policy to prevent graft is to pay our civil servants very well, to the extent that the Prime Minister earns millions of dollars, orders of magnitude more than the US President. Since our officials and other members of the public are now being gratified by sex as opposed to dollars, the obvious solution is to offer more sex and sleaze:D
