In 1914, a movie was made with the title The Barrier of Ignorance.

I guess Darkstar and friends aren't a recent phenomena.

The barrier of ignorance is the driving force behind the continued hatred of Jews, blacks, homosexuals and others. It's been around for centuries; Darkstar's own wall of ignorance might be different, but it's not the first.

Very nice red herring, as I was talking about "continuing hatred". St. Patrick's Day kind of disproves any continued hatred against the Irish, wouldn't you think?

I always wondered when the "the luck of the Irish" started being considered a good thing. The Irish have even been oppressed or at war or both for a thousand years. Not luck I want.

Well, that's in part because the British landlords could make more money planting cash crops then they could renting land to Irish farmers.

I still want to know where the luck of the Irish stuff comes from.
