Right now there's some confusion as to how I'm going to be paid. My contract has the credentialed teacher salary rate, and I was told I had 30 days to file my credential (people are on vacation) but now they're saying they might have to pay me as a long term sub and then retroactively make up the difference, which would be pretty bad for paying rent and getting health insurance for september.

Hey, welcome to the ranks of the recently employed. I start on the day after Labour Day at my new career: computer programming. Something tells me that this computer stuff might catch on, and I'm getting in on the ground floor! ;)

Congratulations!

Just don't let them forget to tell you about important deadlines for this that and the other thing. There's always something due way sooner than it ought to be.

A minute's thought suggests that the very idea of this is stupid. A more detailed examination raises the possibility that it might be an answer to the question "how could the Germans win the war after the US gets involved?" - Captain Seafort, in a thread proposing a 1942 'D-Day' in Quiberon Bay
