I've talked to people who have read about non-even-slightly scientific studies of juggalo culture, so I am basically an expert, but while I can't comment on a preference for grape soda (we may be confusing subcultures here), it is definitely a focus on the brand Faygo itself, with the flavor I see fired out of water cannons the most being orange soda. I believe the reason is the company's roots in Detroit, much like ICP itself.

There is a group of juggalos who hang out at the bus stop near where I work, so I'll ask them later today. Hopefully they'll confirm my theory, which would be great, or they'll kill the shit out of me, which will support Kamikaze Sith's position.

If you honestly believe that is my position then you haven't been paying attention.

I will also add that not all street gangs are as violent as the Avenues in California that shot up a family for driving down the wrong street. Some will even talk to people. Also, as we've already covered Juggalos are likely mostly just fans of ICP. However, in the four states previously listed there is an emergence of criminal gang activity from people that identify themselves as Juggalos and commit these crimes in that name.

If these members of the 501st began committing these crimes for the benefit of the 501st, in the name of the 501st, and wore their uniforms everywhere or symbols of their uniforms everywhere and engaged in violence against competing gangs THEN yes they would be labeled a criminal organization. This is what these Juggalos in those four states are doing.

I get that. The problem is that this criminal group of the hypothetical 501st is a subset of the 501st, even at the local level. So declaring the whole local 501st chapter to be a criminal organization is wrong-headed. Is there a gang in there? Yes. Is the whole of the Arkansas (or insert whatever state here) chapter a gang? No.

I agree that is a problem. However, like I said before what do you do?

Now even with your hardcore gang members being a member of that gang is not against the law. So, police stopping them and detaining them for just being a gang member is actually an unreasonable stop. We still need to be able to articulate either a traffic infraction, or that a crime was about to occur, in progress, or had already taken place. Basically, what I'm saying is being part of a gang that is listed a criminal organization only carries consequences if you go out and commit crimes that can be enhanced for being part of said gang.
