TERRIBLE POLITICAL CARTOONS, Part III

Post by LadyTevar »

New thread, keep the commentary to a minimum.

If you absolutely, positively must comment, then you shall do it in the commentary thread. ~Edi

Nitram, slightly high on cough syrup: Do you know you're beautiful?
Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

That man's cagle feed should just be linked in the OP and this whole thread should just be locked. Here are the 3 most mind-numbingly TERRIBLE of the bunch:

Personal taste/annoyance. It's been on the wall of the history dept at my school as long as I can remember. The school, of course, is infested with eeevil elitist, liberal, intellectuals. Last year year they had a "stupid shit I can't believe Sarah Palin said in public" wall calender.

I'll try to stick to objectively bad ones.

Sorry. If it's any consolation I found the cartoon free of context and had no idea the artist did more til you told me.

...yeah, you'd think your post would have warned me off enough. This guy is like a more worldly version of Jack Chick.

Oh man, the artwork on this just gets worse every time I look. Why does Obama (I presume) have three noses?

There's lots of blame to throw around regarding the decline of modern journalism. I lay some on the need to make ad hominem attacks.

All the comments from this thread have been split to the commentary thread. Any further pure comments (as opposed to posts containing subject matter, i.e. bad political cartoons) posted to this thread are subject to being split or simply outright deleted at the whim of the moderator who takes an exception to them. Deleting is far easier than splitting, so if a mod is pressed for time and doesn't like comments appearing in this thread, guess which action is more likely?

I think it's advertising rather than a political cartoon per se, but close enough.

I don't speak German, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and presume that this doesn't mean what it looks like it means.
There are hardly any excesses of the most crazed psychopath that cannot easily be duplicated by a normal kindly family man who just comes in to work every day and has a job to do.

Replace "ginger" with "n*gger," and suddenly it become a lot less funny, doesn't it?

In addition it says "creating safety" on the right. Which makes it even worse.

Ok Someone needs to post something here.
Now lord knows I got a bit carried away in the last one, and I had banned myself as it were from ever posting again.. But, well, I have quite a few saved up, and I have cleared them with Dalton himself, I have his Blessing on these. So, without further adieu...

I actually had to stop and look again to make sure it wasn't Bush in the carriage, since his distinguishing feature seems to be large ears.

Okay, have I missed some major issue of censorship? I thought that was one thing at least that wasn't going on.

So when Obama spends, he's a horrible president for wasting money, when he doesn't he's what? An ace? A legend?

I don't think I have words for how tasteless this is.

I get the feeling that those are supposed to be specific real women, but the art is so bad it's impossible to recognize them.

The DM one is...literally on the same level of offensiveness as the Dr Suess one. The same level as a cartoon from what, 50, 60 years ago?

Jesus...
Yeah, I've always taken the subtext of the Birther movement to be, "The rules don't count here! This is different! HE'S BLACK! BLACK, I SAY! ARE YOU ALL BLIND!?
