Incredible!
Baltar: "I don't want to miss a moment of the last Battlestar's destruction!"
Centurion: "Sir, I really think you should look at the other Battlestar."
Baltar: "What are you babbling about other...it's impossible!"
Centurion: "No. It is a Battlestar."

Corrax Entry 7:17: So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we never need you again.

Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate your words very much. I do plan on making this far more detailed per square inch then the Bellator I built last year. My hands are shaking far less and my chronic pain and fatigue are currently under control. I am going to put my full passion into this ship!

I do not use any premade or salvaged parts at all. I am using a 3d printer to help me make the shield towers and turbo lasers. (there are about 1000 guns...not going to cut each if them...no freaken way...)
Every single bit is cut and carved by hand with an exacto knife and shaped with very small files and sand papers. The Dremel helps me with larger sections and detailed deep carving.

This is very impressive. I would be scared to find out what would happen if you decided to get into 40K.

Well done!

That's freaking incredible. As someone who does do modeling and conversion work, including some scratch building...I'm in awe. My god.

This. It takes some major skill to do something along these lines from hand...and scratch built at that. The fact you're doing it on your own, not as part of a modeling team makes it all the more impressive.

Amazing work here! :D

Kanastrus! If you don't hire that guy for the next project, you will have to answer this board!

Awesome work...
A minute's thought suggests that the very idea of this is stupid. A more detailed examination raises the possibility that it might be an answer to the question "how could the Germans win the war after the US gets involved?" - Captain Seafort, in a thread proposing a 1942 'D-Day' in Quiberon Bay

That thing's gotta be at least five feet from bow to stern.

One of the image captions says it's 98" long with another 5" to be added with the engines.

But damn is this impressive!

The Turret Emplacements.
I have my printer working 3-6 hours a day to make the turrets.
All Detailing is done by hand cutting strips of Styrene.

each of you have this ability. I created this by just eyeballing it. no schematics. I t was my first attempt at a scratch build. everything was hand cut from styrene 100%.
If I can do this I guarantee any of you can.
Man I've been building models since I was eight years old and I still can't finish a store-bought kit without leaving at least one fingerprint in the paint. You've got real skill, on top of the dedication to actually finish a project that size.

That is one awesome project
