The reason for the women coming around to Romney, is that in addition to Romney becoming more personable to female voters, married women, and married couples in general favor Romney over the president (and it's been that way for months), furthermore mothers are increasingly concerned with the economy and therefore are more likely to be attracted to Romney as a result. How the VP debate will factor into this remains to be seen. Though there has been talk about women being turned off to Joe Biden's performance.
Tomorrow is pretty much the last big chance Obama has to win over people and stop the bleeding. A less than excellent performance tomorrow, and it's pretty much a wrap.

The Obama campaign has already "stopped the bleeding;" over the past few days, the polling has shifted back to mildly favourable towards Obama. Indeed. It doesn't matter if Obama wins, say, Ohio by 10% or by 1%, he just needs to win. Remember, regardless of all this debate nonsense, Obama is pretty much guaranteed 237 electoral votes, while Romney is guaranteed 170. Obama has many, many more paths to victory than Romney does.

I can honestly see Romney winning the popular vote, and by a substantial margin (due to Southern voters voting overwhelmingly in favor of Romney) but Obama getting the Electoral College vote win due to winning Ohio and most of the northern swing states.
Wonder how the conservative base would react to that?

The administration has been pretty upfront that militants were responsible for the attack from the very start.
The only question was, what role protesters played if any. And whether the attack was pre-planned.
This strikes me as the GOP should keep their mouths shut, and let the IC do it's job.
Now there is much greater room to criticize the lack of security around the ambassador, even though the President does not make those kinds of decisions (unless of course a disaster happens then the President needs to step in and make the calls, which he did.)

Mitt's first attack was to complain about the Embassy in Egypt's tweet that it condemns the video released (and therefore Obama is responsible for apologizing for America's values) in the ongoing days, Romney's camp argued that such an attack would not happen in a Romney administration.
The "Romnesia" meme is making the rounds among Democrats; meanwhile, the conservative blogosphere is having a fucking stroke over Obama's TDS interview where he said "four Americans killed is not optimal". Monday will be interesting.

The fact that this issue has turned into such a hyper-partisan conflict not just among politicians but among average citizens, does not make me optimistic for the outcome of this election, or for that matter the future of our country. It's as if we have two distinct tribes in this country to do not trust and even hate the other.
